I saw Southampton play at Fulham the other day. I thought it was a decent away performance and they were unlucky not to come away a point or even three. In the end Fulham nicked it in the 88th minute with their first attempt on target (admittedly it was their 2nd goal but the 1st was an o.g)
They soaked up the initial Fulham pressure (which wasn’t all that anyway) and gradually got back in the game. They created chances but spurned them. I was expecting to see a dysfunctional bottom of the table side but this performance perplexed me.
West Ham, Everton, and Nathan Jones all being relegated would be a joy. It’s what keeps me looking at the results.
