Frank said at the weekend that he wasn't scared of the sack.

When you are worth something like £60m and would get another handsome pay-off, of course you wouldn't be scared.

Unless Chairman wake up quickly, he'll be the next generation of Alladyce's just doing the club merry-go-round.

Problem is if everyone is offering 3+ year contracts including clubs in Europe, then you're going to get no where trying to hire someone on anything less.

Difficult to generalise isn't it?

Kompany and Viera have made decent starts after stellar playing careers and no "apprenticeship" as such.

I think it could be argued that Kompany had an apprenticeship at Anderlecht.

I know that they are not the club they once were, but they still qualify for European competitions quite regulary. They would definitely be regarded as a bigger club than Burnley.

Mind you, sucess at those two clubs should guarentee him a Premier League appointment. I'm a little surprised his name isn't mentioned for the Everton vacancy.

Vieira had also done two years each at New York City FC and Nice respectively prior to getting the Palace job as well.

I have my doubts about FL - BUT I think Everton has been mismanaged and made an absolute disaster for past few years since the appointment of Koeman.

Some slightly unfair on Allardyce, he did come up the lower leagues route as well like the aforementioned O'Neill and co.

Be interesting to see who takes Everton job or if they want to risk the relegation against there name.

Surely Hughless has been in touch to ask if they want him to interview them?

There's clearly more to Everton's problems than just the Manager but he's clearly not as good as he/others think he is.

At Derby he could borrow who he liked from Chelsea, he had Mount at one point, and still didn't get promoted. Then lasted about two minutes at Chelsea.

I saw a video this morning from a journalist who basically said Lampard's most memorable game was a 3-2 win at home To Palace in the penultimate game of last season to keep them up.

Palace, at home, losing 2-0 at one point, relegation threatened. Good grief. That's the highlight of his tenure???

The Everton fans at work think that a Rooney/Moyes partnership is possible.

Sounds terrible.

Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

I don't know, if Rooney does what he normally does and refs the games himself, that should get them a few much-needed points

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Mick McCarthy in at Blackpool.

I'd be gutted.
