Maybe because QPR is our club we take more of an interest in who we have in various management positions across the various departments within our club - but is it really any worse than other DOFs or management teams? |
We're definitely worse, than the clubs with a better DOF

| Travelman traveling on 22:02 - Feb 1 by Wegerles_Stairs | Yes, the way Warburton was thrown under the bus last season is what resonates with me. All very well doing that but when we can all see that the likes of Niko, Kakay and Shodipo aren't good enough despite being persisted with for season after season to justify the cronyism, then his position becomes far from tenable. Unfortunately, we have extremely naive owners who are all too easy to influence. Want to get rid of Harry? Get in their ear and tell them how brilliant your mate is. Pretty much been cronyism from day one. |
Sorry mate, but all this “too naive” stuff really grates me. So many sideline experts who think that if they were in charge they would be doing such a better job. This has been going on since 1882, with a few years of glory culminating in finishing 2nd to Liverpool in the 70s and top London club in the first ever Premier League but mediocrity for the most part. There are 72 clubs outside of the Premier league all trying to do the same thing, and more below us than above us - so do they all have naive owners or is getting it right when trying to reach the perceived promised land just that bit harder to get right than people think?

Yes. This nonsense has been thrown at LF virtually from day one in the job. Insinuation repeated so often that some now claim it as fact. It is an opinion - just that and one that I also disagree with.

We've got two widespread rumours now, accepted by many fans as fact: 1) They're all mates and croneys (leaked by Warburton and/or McIntyre) 2) They don't get on at all, so they made up a B Team so they could stay apart (leaked by Beale and/or McIntyre) The uncomfortable truth is that we haven't an iota if one, other, neither or both are true.

Warburton wasn't thrown under a bus! His contracted period came to an end. It didn't end well, results wise and the club decided not to offer a new contract but to try someone else. People go on about poor performers with long contracts eg Hammalainen but then get upset when MW wasn't given a longer deal, as if he deserved it after that disastrous end to last season.

I'm referring to how Les gave that interview (in February?) saying that Warburton was offered a striker but turned it down, which was very odd, but when we learnt about the alleged disagreements between the different factions in the club, it made sense.

And apparently now one of the most deprived parts of Belgium. [Post edited 3 Feb 2023 6:20]

I'll pass that on to Charles and Wills.
