IMO that would snatch defeat from the jaws of victory .
The Lib Dems have in their Manifesto an commitment to rejoin the single market asap and a longer term commitment to rejoin the EU . In 2019 under Jo Swinson they vowed to reverse article 50 and cancel Brexit . They lost seats including Swinsons .
Currently polling at 10%. Why dont those who would have preferred to remain (supposedly now 60%) just pile in behind them ? .

It’s exactly why they haven't said it.
I can’t stand Labour right now, but let’s stick to the truth.

Ahh Bollox!, i knew i should have used Clive Lewis in my light hearted analogy!.
DoublePlusGood for the guardian link, Comrade.
Just adding some irony to your fair point.
Link amended.
My point overall, is that milkshake and whatever that was today, political violence is overwhelmingly a right wing persuit, including a dozen high profile murders or serious assaults off the top of my head in recent years.

Where have Labour said they want to rejoin the EU?
They haven't. In fact they have studiously avoided it.
Pretty much nobody wants to talk about that subject. Leavers cannot claim there has been any benefit to it and remainers are terrified of a media pile on if they even hint at such a thing.

Don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere but I was interested in Starmer calling the Conservative manifesto Corbynesque. Full of promises but no costings. The same Corbyn manifesto that Starmer fully indorsed in 2017 and 2019.

I think that was a bit of a gaffe by Starmer. His opponents will bring it up at every opportunity they can that he endorsed a corbynesque manifesto twice in the past.

Totally agree. However we’re now seeing the “winning horse” phenomenon in full swing - Sunak getting decimated for anything he says and Starmer largely left alone because the media have decided he’s going to be PM so best get in their good books long term. Same thing happened to a lesser degree in 2019, and from what I’ve read very much the case in 1997.
Not to say that Sunak and this shambolic set of tories don’t deserve absolute ridicule for what they’ve done to this country, absolute c****

You should see the promises he made to become leader in the first place!

Sunak saying he had to go without Sky TV as a kid. What deprivation ! How did he cope ? My wife asked why elections are always on Thursdays. I told her they used to be on Saturdays but Sky changed it.

He was 10 yrs old when sky came about, by which point he was away from home at a £52k a year boarding school where I'm sure the facilities weren't lacking.

It was considered rather common and vulgar to have a Sky dish back in the day.
You could redirect police helicopters with the one we had in Grimsby, early 90s I guess. Thing was nearly as big as the house itself. Picture used to break up on a fairly regular basis which could be solved (in my dad's opinion) by taking the viewing card out and blowing on it.

Used to be able to do that with SNES cartridges.
