March was always going to be tough and it's got tougher with injuries.
April is key. We have 5 games we can get at least 8 points from IMO. 52 points should be enough. We finished last season (and that was a crap season) on 56 points. It would be a shame if we had less this season but December-to-February aside, it's been worse. |  | | |

The one fit striker isn't actually fit enough to complete 90 minutes so it's been pretty horrendous to put a team out. |  |

And that's the concern. Those injuries, many long-term, mean that the spectre of the likes of Anderson, Madsen and probably Ashby getting more game time, is a clear indicator for me that we are regressing to the players that figured and started this season so abjectly.
Along with the dubious attacking/creative combination of Dembele, Saito and P'tang Yang, who will seemingly be selected regardless of his poor performances, I'm not at all confident that we can win any of those games post-Leeds.
Two more victories, if needed, with that squad now shorn of some of its mainstays/stalwarts, won't be easy to achieve. [Post edited 12 Mar 11:42]

It's a lower mid table squad which is going to achieve that finish. If you are lower mid table then you have horrendous runs of form like we are in now.
I'd say the season has been an improvement on last, the games we lose are by the odd goal and there is the basis of a really nice team coming together (Nardi, JCS, Morrison, Varane, Field, Chair). There's some tinkering around the edges to do and striker is a problem position. However if we finish 16th having been comfortably mid table since Jan then that's fine. Aim for next season needs to be finishing 12th having not ever been troubled by what's going on below us and occasionally batting lashes at the play offs |  |
