Good post.

It's a real shame.

I'm non-plussed by all of this.

Leaving aside the alleged incident in that canteen for now, as deeply troubling as that rumour is, are we seriously thinking that we can ditch an International because of his Father's behaviour?

Many of us, I'm sure, have played and coached in team sports. If players were ditched because they had an overbearing parent, football would always be a five-a-side game.

Over bearing parents are a pain in the bum....end of. It happens a lot in 'kids' football & clubs. Kolli is not a 'kid' plus we are a professional club & they will not tolerate it for long.

I don’t think any of this is do with anyone being out of favour.

As more and more injured players have become more available, first Kolli, and now Morgan, have been overlooked. The club is evidently favouring older players (Frey over Kolli; Hayden + Field over Morgan).

What I don’t understand is that this is directly counter to the so-called model and strategy held up in shining lights last season.

'What I don’t understand is that this is directly counter to the so-called model and strategy held up in shining lights last season'

This.

Since 2014, every steward of the club has dropped this when hitting a bump in the road. That Coventry result condemned it to the bin quicker than usual though.

if the person posting on x is indeed his dad , the allgeged training ground incident dosnt supprise me , i had a run in with him a few weeks back and who ever it is did keep going on about what a succesful coach he is and he knows better than the coaches at the club and that rayan should be playing every game , goes under the acct name of Bolo for those who use X

Agree with you, that was kind of my point.

I just can't see how any club would bomb a player out because of his parent's behaviour. Or should. Or will.

They should & they will......watch this space if Kolli Dad continues his, apparent, bad behaviors.

I have seen it happen in the academy ranks when a lad is causing issues, they club will not want it.......I have actually seen it at grass route level as well.

Sadly, there's a good chance that it will happen.

What about the previous 3 years?

Undermines your point about zero tolerance of difficult parents.

I do not know about Willocks father tbh.....but I did think at the time things were not right, his form dropped out of the clouds for some reason but still played a lot. What were the issues???

I am not sure what the issues are with him tbh, he played, got paid which is not the same as Kolli.

Nope, I do not understand either, Kolli is a 20 year old!!!, not a 12 year old!!!

I would be most interested in Wombat's encounter with his Father was all about.

...and when he was here the first time round, I seem to recall Smyth's mum being very vocal when criticising our manager for not giving her son more opportunities.

Smyth left, then we brought him back.

To be fair, I wouldn't go against a NI mum either!

its just before kolli went off to play for algeria B few weeks ago , not sure how it started but a comment was made and it went from there , selected comments from bolo .

i see qualities from him that many overlook the kind only real football people recognise .

he thinks mick beale ia a top coach
sometimes the rest of the package only develops when a young player is truelly backed , selling early might bring quick money but giving talent time brings legacy and thats what real clubs are built on ?

give a player real minutes and youll see the constency u are talking about

and last of all, as someone who knows the game inside and out i can tell you this isnt about ability, something deeper is going on , situations like this have happened before and will happen again , but in the end it hurts the club as much as it hurts the player .

He's played in the middle numerous times for the first team and he's very far from weakling. He's strong and 6 ft tall.

I like the lad, but he's not 6' tall, unless you include the hair

I mean, I think Kolli shouild be getting game time, and I think he's being treated poorly.

But you've also got to feel a bit for Nourry and the club on this. I've never known so much external noise about a fcking teenager who's played a dozen games in his life.

Oxford at home last year one of the in favour Twitter accounts was doing an hour-by-hour update on whether he'd recovered from the flu in time to be in the team/on the bench etc.

You can't have that.

If they haven't already done so one of the senior pros should advise Kolli to distance himself from social media.

I don't think Kolli himself is posting anything is he? How is punishing him affecting the behaviour of his Dad.

I can't stop my Dad posting Britain First memes on Facebook anymore than Kolli can stop his Dad posting about moves to France.

I think both things can be true. As I said in the first line of my post, he's being treated poorly, and should be playing more. I also agree with most of what you've said on this thread.

But it's a bit of a mess all round, and I do feel sorry for the club to a certain, limited extent.

To be clear this is a joke.

The (alleged) truth is, he wasn't happy with a (quite crucial) aspect of the training / fitness schedule and was told 'to fck off' and that 'he wasn't wanted any more as they had signed Koki' in front of the entire squad and staff apparently.

Or, perhaps they just think Frey is more mobile and can do 46 games this season.

If this happened whoever said that in an open environment should probably not be working at QPR anymore...
