Not sure if the altercation they had some weeks ago now is relevant to what’s happening regarding Kolli’s non selection , but something is a miss for sure.
I don’t think Kolli should be starting games for us, but he’s done enough to be on the bench occasionally.
I mean , that Norwich game last season alone suggested that if you play him up front he has an eye for goal .
His crowd interaction after Cov seems to have rubbed certain people up the wrong way .
I also noticed that home game against Millwall he warmed up continuously throughout the second half . Continued even when we had no more subs to make which is a little odd and even when the ref blew for full time , he continued to sprint up and down the touch line for a short time.
Maybe these are little shows of petulance ? I’m totally guessing, but if they are I wonder if it’s again, rubbing certain people up the wrong way .
But we know Esquerdinha has showed petulance on social media , yet he plays , albeit in more peculiar circumstances.
We also know that the CEO stopped Marti playing him before .
Why couldn’t it happen again?
Starts the first game of last season then banished to the youth team club photo only a couple of weeks later ?
It’s unprofessional and appears to be hugely influenced by the enormous egos of the young middle class men we have at the front and centre of our football club right now.
The length of these continuous threads about Kolli are not really about him , so much as they are about the way ‘the club’ seems to be treating a young asset who I think has something different to offer .

Your reference to class: whether it be actual, assumed or the self-entitlement in the shape of hubris, are clearly at play here.

Hubris shown by Williams, allegedly, is breathtaking. A person who it would appear was being paid last season for missing in action, not fulfilling his job description as part of an agreed "experiment", which was totally prejudicial to the football side of the club. His not being on premises, lack of immediacy in final decisions being made on players' injuries and minor knocks clearly hindered the previous manager's ability to deliver to his optimum. Doubtless Mr missing in "action" was still earning significantly more than Kolli.

In contrast, Kolli: present and not missing in action played his part in helping us to remain in the league with some excellent contributions on the field, some whilst still just 19 years of age, which served as demonstrable evidence of his untapped potential. Potential, if harnessed correctly, could make him the successor to Chair.

Performance metrics from last season: Kolli: 21 games: 5 goals & 3 assists. Non-Peformance metrics of Mr missing in action: myriad of 1st team injuries to the point of embarrassing, that he had to conflate the lower injury incidence rates of the women's and other teams, as an overall figure!. I know which of the two genuinely earned their respective salaries last season. That conflation being a trait of those who believe that they are above having to admit to any failings on their watch. That's not leadership in my view, but those of a certain class can get away with it and are then bizarrely conferred even greater responsibilities and job promotion. Yet, next to no cries of "Nourry's mates!".

Contrast that to real leadership traits: Kolli, just 20, at Coventry City apologising after the game. He didn't have to but empathised with the fans and felt the urge to do what felt natural to him. Decent traits young man and don't be cowered by those cowards who are protected by class, nepotism and the like, even when they have demonstrably failed the club whilst dovetailing two jobs: QPR's being merely incidental during that period, of course.

All these posts about Kolli!!!! I really do not get it.

He is not good enough to play in the Championship on a regular basis and many questions about his/his Dad's off the park shenanigans......get rid, lets move on.

I went to the Development game recently at the Nou Bus Stop. All the lads who weren’t in the squad for the game were in attendance too. It was a situation where there were 2 games in 2 days. It seemed like there was more talent watching than playing. They looked like a good bunch of mates out for the evening to support their other mates and Rayan Kolli was part of that good bunch of mates. And then I read the next day or so someone on LFW saying keep Kolli away from the squad because he’s a bad influence. Utter madness. Some people live in a parallel universe - I believe it’s called social media.

I really rate Kolli and am gutted to see what is / has happened to his development, but if you read the thread you would be aware not all these posts are about Kolli; but much more sinister and worrying undercurrent of what is currently being played out at our football club. Maybe acceptable by your standards, certainly not by mine.

Kolli has played only 1164 minutes, which translates to only 13 games of football. With 7 goals / assists. Meaning goal contribution every other game.

Those kind of stats for a 19 year old (now 20) are up there with the best at that age.

So your “expert” opinion is only in your head. Perhaps cut the young man some slack. He’s one of our own, has been with us since 8 years old, and is an exciting young talent only just starting out.

Making repeated judgments on such a small sample size, not backed up by any kind of data - which in fact says the opposite, is pretty wild.

And Frey is?

I can say with 100% certainty that Kolli is not the only youngster to have been treated poorly by Nourry/Williams.

Blimey Holloway, your post is going to take us down another rabbit hole!

But I fear you might be right and if you are, then that's disappointing to read. Especially as the model as I understand it, it to find, nurture, and develop young talent to sell our way out of the mire.

He has already proved he is good enough to play in the Championship with stats to prove it. Your insistence of self proclaiming your football expertise borders on trolling and time and again you have proved yourself incapable of demonstrating even basic levels of expertise.

The grass is always greener.

I think the idea is to listen to other views, take them on board and sometimes modify, even if only slightly one's own opinion.

Instead we get entrenched and hardened repetition.

I have seen enough of him playing games, I do not need stats to help me decide.

I have always rated Madsen, yes he had bad games but I could see his natural talents and he was never as bad as posters stated, 99% of posters slaughtered him week in week out, well OTT & a proper disgrace. Guess what he is arguably our best player now.

Surely he offers more than Frey though !?

If we are supposed to be developing players then not having Kolli on the bench is a very bad look

Very different players.......Kolli would get battered at CF & Frey would not work out wide.

I would probably go with Frey, we have other players that can play wide. Kolli is well down the ranks.

To me, Kolli is a promising young player. He is not the 'real deal' yet, but he has done well enough for a lad who hasn't had a long run of games.

I certainly would not write him off at this point. I've seen more than enough to think he could come good over time.

He is a Rangers lad, whose level of application is high. The background stuff I treat as 'noise' because the accusations pointed at his attitude are unproven. From what I see, he cares.

Let's cut the lad some slack and encourage him.

His dad, however frustrated he might be, does need to stop the negative posting. It makes things even more complicated for Rayan.

Let’s see how sure you are of your expert opinion, and where you will put your money as you said.

I’ll have £500 with you that Kolli will go to a top two league in England, France, Germany, Spain or Italy post-QPR.
