There you go Ned MotM.
He's had to deal with long term injuries he's never had before, court case and becoming a father. This is, what his 5th game back. He gets that fitness up, watch him go.
The thing about Illias is that he might make mistakes going forward, but his touch is immaculate, he rarely loses the ball in dangerous positions or even at all, always shows for the ball and above everything else, his energy in getting back into defensive positions should embarrass all of our forward players.
Honestly I know I am biased and go on about it too much, but I simply cannot fathom what this potential one club legend does to attract even an element of doubt from our fans. Those that criticise him just won't realise what he gives us until he goes.
A shame.
Great entertainment that, great win, but we need to sort out our defence. Maybe we can get a settled back 4 and see the improvement... |
Delighted for him: his best performance for a long time. He looked back to close to his best today so hoping he can keep that level up moving forward.

I wonder whether this seems into our game plan. We really aren't very good at maintaining possession, are we? Maybe those throw ins where we give it away either by gifting the ball back or by foul throws are actually the tactic? |  |

I find it a little bizarre but it seems to work and therefore I don’t mind it when we win.
I’d prefer we had more possession and bossed every game but we can’t play our way against a low block so it just doesn’t work.

. I think it was a beautiful sumerisation of our season so far tbh. Sh*t start deservedly behind. Then a bit of hope then sh*t again. Then we get on top again which is hopefully where our season is going. It was a strange one! Im not really sure we played well though did we? [Post edited 22 Nov 21:40]

We played well enough for the win but defended appallingly. Both Hull goals were due to amateurish defending. Great to see Illy have a very good game - he was my MotM. Beautiful goal by Jimmy - looks even better on the replays! Burrell is looking like the real deal - I love him. A much needed win and to come back from being behind twice shows a bit of grit. Stephan got the subs spot on too at last! A great day all round. COYRs!!!!! |  |
