Good point about the importance of Burrell having a partner upfront I think. Although I'd prefer Kone, I think Frey should be a reasonable deputy when required. I also feel we do need to see Madsen getting 10 yards further forward in support when the ball is coming in from wide. |  | | |

Agree with most of that, except the generous appraisal of Kone, who badly needs to get his act - any kind of act - together. That's on him and the manager both.

Spot on regarding the Mbengue/Dunne switch. The team looks much better balanced, and it seems to allow Dembele a bit more freedom to go inside with Mbengue provided a much needed pacey overlapping.

When I saw the line up I thought we would be overrun and bullied in midfield especially with 3 of our midget 10's starting. However that was not the case and I was very surprised how poor Blackburn were.
However you can only beat what's in front of you and the boys found a way to win which gave me a lovely midweek winter boost.

I think you might be on to something re Kone's extra body presence being a factor for the defenders it occupies/space it creates but he could still do with being a little more effective on the ball. And he really is 'running' like he's carrying a small injury.

Agreed on Mbengue, QPR always needs a nutter of some description, some grumps moan about his antics with the fans when we win but come on, who cares. Football is meant to be fun!
There's a very different feel to watching us midweek on the red button compared to being there in person, the game itself is very "Championship" with a lot of effort but not much skill on show. Yet we were able to find a way, and even with ten minutes or so to hang on to the win, at no point was I overly worried that Blackburn would find a goal. And as mentioned the rejig in defence has given the team more balance.
