Noticed a couple I think have disappeared. Can't seem to find the one about Eddie Howe and resources that Staindrod's Elbow started. Don't think I have a filter on. Sure there is another one but can't think what it is

I believe SE deleted the Eddie Howe thread as he realised he hadn’t put enough Julien Stéphan insults in his original post.

How will he know? I say this because I wouldn't be surprised if he's got himself on 'ignore'.

Short story - I'm basically not having this message board look like it did after Stoke every time we lose.

Thanks for the clarification, Clive. I apologise for any part I might have played in recent events. Just feel people should be held accountable when they speak to people like crap, although I know I should just shut up

Thanks for that. I have used it before but then sometimes there are huge gaps in threads that I am interested in, especially if someone is starting to dominate the thread. However, 9 times of out 10 based on the replies you can imagine what was being said lol

Yeah, I occasionally have a look at threads like that when I'm not logged in just out of curiosity.

After reading the first couple of sentences from the offending posts I go straight into logged in/ignore on mode.

Life really is too short.

Even though your bile is some of the most fantastically eloquent and high-flown when we do lose, Clive. I'm confused, but then I'm not, because LfW, whatever else its merits, is such a textbook demonstration of the psychological principle of source/halo effect (the idea that two people can say exactly the same thing, but it's the person who has the higher status in the 'in-group' who'll get praised for it, while the other person will get attacked). It's all so humanly, if depressingly, instructive for a writer, especially when it keeps happening.

For fans of Frasier, there's an excellent episode, 'Docu Drama' (season 8, episode 16) which is all about it, for those posters who like to understand the shadow side of power.

Have a lovely week all!

I'd like to say some of these threads/posts are liquid syntax but I don't know what that means.

We're also not having these threads any more either.
These backwards and forwards arguments and sniping. Antagonising.
Day after day.

Line in the sand. Everybody leaves everybody alone. Everybody treats everybody with respect.

I have avoided reading immediately after the last two results on here and have to stop reading the match threads of doom.

To be fair though, from attending recent games, have sensed more of an unjustified, in my eyes, undercurrent of anger within the QPR fans around me, and its been harder to say that i actually enjoy attending, simply because most around me seem to be showing a bit of the old "passive aggressive" about them !!!

I guess a fans forum will reflect that, at these times and without realising it myself, i wasnt enjoying being a part of this forum also.

Disagreements about football and the club will happen, but personal insults arent required, i agree. The old "count to ten" technique comes to mind.

PEACE !!!!!

And the Italian man that went into a cafe and said “I want a pizza”. The lady said “the toilets are over there sir”.

Does anyone remember the thread on here where we wrote a story in the style of Steve Bruce's murder mystery novels. That style being ludicrous grandiosity followed by explaining what he'd just said in a patronizing tone.

I couldn't say which poster just reminded me of it.
