This Australian thing is very strange to me.
The A League is a terrible product.
The Australian national team is not great.
The players we've brought in so far are yet to make any impact.
We're in talks to buy a whole club down there.
It just feels a bit odd.

Definitely most odd.
But if some kind of strange deal done behind the scenes with an agent so both ourselves and themselves both benefit makes sense.
Because from a footballing perspective, have yet to see any evidence that any of these signings will be no more than bit part players even in a couple of seasons time, so is it perhaps seen that we make a small profit on all, in the future.
As, currently the model with this particular strategy gives very little evidence that these players are being bought as future championship level players at all, even if one comes off, which can't see as yet myself. | |
