Unfortunately, Super Ray didn't twig that Zelic was a bad egg.

| Christian Pullella on 15:19 - Jan 28 by numptydumpty | A nice guy who happens to have quite a few more pennies than most in the bank !! Agents / Estate Agents all done for the love of money and they will say anything to get the deal. The more likeable they are, the greater their ability to secure for themselves a much higher rate of commission.Ie his likeability is a ruse for upping the rates. Its all about the money. They are ultimately sales people which involves being economical with the truth, but in a nice way, to enable more dosh coming their way. Not a criticism, its simply the way it is. Or is your mate having to queue up at the local foodbank.... [Post edited 28 Jan 15:22]

Cut it out. I did 6 years as an Estate Agent in France. And I certainly wasn't getting rich on the commission. [Post edited 30 Jan 6:54]

Was making the point sales people are economical with the truth to get the deal. Some of the spiel i have heard from estate agents, am aware, but any business, its about getting in more money, wasnt suggesting estate agents or on the wages of football agents obviously. Should have said sales people.

My joke about flipping these players 6 months later aside, it seems to me that we are aiming to grab athletically-gifted players in the hopes that we can teach them the positioning and skills. This is showing some fruit, with Bennie not lighting it up but showing he is there or thereabouts in the 1st team. I'd personally rather we got more developed players in but given our financial constraints, this seems like a low-risk high reward strategy, since players who don't look like making it can be flipped for a small profit / breaking even, and we might find a diamond in the rough. I don't love it but I don't hate it either. |
The more I think about it the more it probably isn't a joke, particularly if we do sell Adamson. Basically a footballing Homes Under The Hammer. Pick it up dirt cheap at auction, stick B&Q's cheapest kitchen in it, give it a few first team apps, this full back could achieve... £500k.

its a decent idea , we just need Dion Dublin in as chief of methodology to make it fly. wonder if it would work with older players ? Clark Salter for example. this property on the outside looks solid, but when you look inside its a diff story, everything that looks ok seems to be badly patched up. prob wont last longer than a month or two before your having to get somebody out to fix something else which has gone wrong. im guessing the previous owner got somebodfy in who said he could fix all the issues and make it worth triple its current worth , then went on.a long holiday and got the apprentice in to do all the work . the owner saw all the work and extended the lease , and low and behold the property broke down again and again .

| Christian Pullella on 09:58 - Jan 29 by dmm | I think that's a valid point but in this case, the DS already has two LBs, Leahy and Adjetey-Brew, so there's no need to bring in Pullella to make up the numbers. |
Good point too but the general idea is to get these young lads out on loan at some stage. So the more you have the better chance of putting a competitive side out in every game, even when he have multiple loans arranged not to mention injuries. Another thought is maybe they feel he is at least as good, if not a better prospect than the other two. Then there is the question is he exclusively a left back or a player who may also be a left sided centre back and maybe develop into midfield player or left winger?
