Indeed. Also bear in mind that he is defending a player found to have basically carried out a sexual assault during a game. That was not a pleasant listen. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Sadly he sounds unwell. Know he has loads going on personally. Arent four of his kids disabled. i remember a programme stating they all profoundly deaf. Maybe he is not exactly coping with his lot. Its concerning hearing this interview. Quite shocking. i have had couple of times in my own life where the pressures of life sent me a bit off the rails and i think this interview suggests a man that needs a time away from the pressures to recuperate and get himself back on track. Sorry op, didnt enjoy this at all. its a little bit more than a Holloway rant. The BBC should have cut the interview short, but ethics and the BBC are not common bedfellows at all. Take it easy Ollie.

They are not disabled I think one of them is deaf and shes now married with a kid of her own. He's not wrong in what he says but that was well over the top

Three of them are profoundly deaf actually. Being deaf is certainly a disability though and impacts peoples lives.

Perhaps he's redirecting his anger at a player being found to have committed a sexual assault. If it were me, that's who I'd be angry at, and he wouldn't be playing for me ever again. Anywhere but a football pitch that's a serious offence that would result in being placed on the sex offenders register. I don't know why footballers are allowed to get away with it.

Er, so this Ollie Clarke is said to have stuck his finger up an opponent's bum during a game? Blimus.

When I was playing it was never against the realms of possibilities that at corners and free kicks you would have an opponent grab your meat and 2 veg... in jolly japes. But how the hell do you manage to insert a finger up someone.... I thought I was the old smash and grab .... wow

Three of Ian's four children are profoundly deaf - the statistics are stacked against it, apparently. Deafness is de(a)finitely classed as a disability in the UK, though some deaf people (and I guess non-deaf people) may regard it as a minority identity rather than an impairment. *Edit* - apologies for inadvertently reduplicating other posts in my first sentence.
