As they say, another 6 pointer. Borehamwood have faltered a little recently and lost at home to Boston on Saturday and collected two red cards to boot. Watching their managers post match interview he wasn't happy with his players at all. He also said that with the two red cards, and injuries, he now has 40% of his squad unavailable for selection. Could be a good time to play them - although we must not take anything for granted. Get at them from the off.

Playing really well against a Boreham Wood team that clearly have some very talented attacking players. Burger has really impressed and is putting in a great shift and great goal by Mani just when Boreham Wood were starting to get back into the game. Pleased for both him and Rodney.
I'd deffo be interested in Mr Abdul Malik.....an absolute flying machine a who can unleash a vicious shot and score from distance......raw pace.....a quality we haven't got!

Straight at them from the start and first goal more than deserved. They held us a bit in check until Manny D boomed that header in. The only chance they had all half was the direct free kick really well saved by Whatmuff .
Second half was fairly even until a mis-placed pass gave Manny plenty to do, but boy did he do it and sat the keeper down with his finish.
BW have evident pace and it was a great through ball for their pen, well despatched too.
Not to worry, we have a striker who knows where to run and can certainly finish, glad after he had the one disallowed.
Manny D playing 60+ minutes is a massive boost, he gives us that edge up front that we haven’t per se missed, but greatly welcome back.
Thought Bush (5) for them was quality despite scoreline, can see why Rush scores, fast and makes good runs. Abdulmalik has darned good feet.
Powerful performance with 5 subs used as seems to be standard now, rotate as we go.
A solid all round evening, a.decent crowd too considering the handful of hardy souls from North London...................I know that the on looking York and Carlisle fans love a good crowd count.

Boreham Wood didn't let themselves down tonight. They play the game the right way and i wish them luck and success from now on
That makes our performance stand out as something special. Without overstretching ourselves, we put the game to bed and our response after their goal was to show how to step up a couple of gears when needed (referencing the "gears" post from yesterday)
Some standout performances all over the pitch. I've already mentioned Perry. I thought we'd really miss Beckwith but finding this lad as a replacement shows how good our scouting network is. But then there's Hendo... and what can you say? it's like uncorking a vintage wine during a feast just to add that extra bit of class to round off the evening
Fair play to the travelling away support. They will have recognised a better team when they saw it, and it was good to see the BW players go over to them at the end
Finally... EEL. When their player went down injured during the second half, he went over to several of our lads and had a quiet word in their ear. Both off the pitch and on, we have leadership
High energy performance and kept focused for the full 90. All tuned in on the same frequency, partnerships, passing and moving. Doing the basics right. Had Boreham Wood in their pocket.

All I can say is Relentless. We need to keep on winning because York show no obvious signs of faltering either. They would've been watching on tonight hoping Borehamwood gave us as tough a game as they gave York. We'll we didn't let them - early goal from Rodney and then Mani D's double delight and finally Hendo the icing on the cake. Almost faultless and when you can bring on Hendo, Barlow and Pritchard to continue running them ragged it is some statement. Perry is a Rolls Royce on that left side and we are 5 wins from 5 since he joined and Mani D returning refreshed and firing again is the cherry on top. Just Carlisle and Forest Green now - these boys relish the task.
Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

If we can beat Carlisle, I think that will bring our average points per game to exactly 2.5. Astonishing really, and few teams will have ever averaged that more than half way through a season

A thorough, well deserved victory against a top 7 side. On a bitterly cold night, Dale showed what a TEAM they are. The substitutions worked again as well.

An outstanding performance. We kept a really good team quiet and exposed them defensively. We ticked a lot of boxes last night. Rodney and Mani D back on the scoresheet. Mani got more game time under his belt. Great impact from all our subs, which again helps to manage minutes.
I loved the way we responded after the penalty with inciteful moves for both Hendo's goal and disallowed goal. What could have been a nervy period in the game ended with the fourth goal.
I thought Abdulmalik was contained really well.

Opposition manager understandably not happy but concedes they were outclassed.
I really like Garrard. Seems a straightforward honest manager. Can see an EFL club appointing him before long.
He's moaning about the corner but it looked a straightforward mistake by the linesman - Gordon looked like he played the ball against the defender from where I was.

What I am enjoying at the moment is how calm the team looks. We look in control of every aspect of the game & that's resulting in the opposition having very little opportunity to score goals against us.
I think the crowd is now starting to appreciate that calmness as there seems to be a more accepting nature to "recycling" the ball & the patient way we build attacks.
In the league we have only conceded one equalising goal all season which is astonishing, that was at Morecambe & we have dropped 0 points when leading.

100% a mistake. We were stood in front of it and it bounced off the defender. The Lino gave a goal kick but the ref correctly immediately overturned it and gave a corner

I also thought their player offside leading to the penalty.
