Agree, we seem to sleepwalk through parts of the season. Stephan is not really to blame for certain things but you look at the end of the season and you wonder if he is a big enough or tough enough character to really motivate a team that seems to lack desire and fight either side of 3 or 4 games where they turn something on to get out of trouble?
I think the time to judge him is near the end of next season to see if there is any substantial progress in results and league position.
It did, for a while, look as if semi-reasonable progress was being made this season but the last six games really put paid to that.

i think the hierarchy will give Stephan his P45 in the next couple of weeks and for me therein lies the problem.
The problem isn't Stephan as it also wasn't Cifuentes. The blame is Nourry and Williams for me. And not just saying that because its the popular thing to say. What mamager of any salt would wish to try here.
For me, whoever we get in, they will have their hands tied and seriously believe certain selections or blooding extremely young youth players, are not Stephan's decisions at all and likewise it wasnt Cifuentes' decisions either.
I feel the wrong people are making too many of the playing choice, and feel another manager has to agree to be a puppet to the hierarchy, and if it is concluded prior to selecting the next managerial fodder, that a candidate is not willing to play ball, then they would have no chance of being "Head Coach" here.

Are the last six games really on Stephan?
In each of the last two seasons we have been told that a slow start to the season will ensure the players are at peak condition for the run-in.
Instead we again get broken promises, umpteen players missing with muscle injuries, and the players that are fit to play look like they're running on empty.
