Also, debatable that some of these could be described as youth...

He's sort of got his own way, assuming he has a say in signings which is far from a given.
I feel like if he is making a point due to his employment being in danger, he's making the wrong one.
Like Cifuentes, this could be poor exit management that sabotages his decent reputation with QPR fans.
Hopefully just poor journalism from WLS but they aren't usually wrong are they?

Hamer wasn’t his signing. Hayden, the club had been speaking too all summer; even before Stephan’s arrival he was in to speak with Nourry.
The rest are objectively “young”. They aren’t youth players, but there wasn’t much Championship experience in that crowd.
The point I think he’s making is the right one, and related to the club letting the likes of Cook go, possibly others, who have lots of Champ or higher experience and planning to replace with u24s with limited Champ experience.
I would suggest that Nourry, Stephan, possibly Williams, De Souza, and Belk, will have all met recently to discuss next season, what we’re doing differently, what we need, who’s leaving, etc, etc.
I suspect Stephan has heard some things in there that concerned him, possibly about the profile of signings after he requested some more proven Champ experience, and he then voiced this in that interview.
He’s since been called in by insecure child king, who has told him to go back out there, take back what he said, and tow the party line.

Really not sure about Julien. He seems to be dogged in sticking to 4-4-2 which has always worried me. As we all know, you need to be tactically flexible depending on who you’re facing. Seems like we are another club that’s not letting the Manager have a real say in player recruitment which might explain his stubbornness on tactics. Spoke to a Chelsea mate yesterday and he said the owners just tell the Manager who they’ve signed. Rosenior apparently asked for a defensive midfielder and they just said here, have another winger - Senor Garnacho. Farcical.

Thought he was bad choice as coach and the football players hasn’t changed my mind even with the amount of of impact inquires to my fav players . I do admire him for saying g pretty much what we all have said you don’t win anything with kids . Esp whe. The kids aren’t very good .
Hes prob been told lacache is the starting left back next season with probably Edwards and smith alongside him and dunne shoved back as right back again
Hoos in his recent interview prettty much confirmed next season is all about showing off the kids . Not in an Epstein type way though obv .
He’s already put a lot of fans on the back for with the stupid changes to the season t age groups and the for them huge increases some who won’t be able to afford them with little notice given as per usual .

It wasn’t an impossible situation. It was a very awkward and unwelcome one, I’m sure. But Nourry has the authority to sack Williams so there was another option…
It remains an option available to him this summer, and he’d do far worse than to give it serious consideration.
I mean it was an impossible situation because he would and will never sack Williams - he’s far too insecure to go it alone and he’s not thick, he knows what Hoos is telling people about him - so he has little choice but to allow his nonsense to go on behind the scenes. Or find a backbone. But that’s not going to happen in the short term.

Wouldn't surprise me if we are relegated next season . I mean this season we were only saved by a Burrell purple patch and 2nd half of the season has been relegation form

See the difference between Hayden and Madsen against Swansea the other night. Hayden hid and threw Morgan under the bus, Madsen the complete opposite.
It's about wanting leaders and winners and you don't have to be 30 odd to show that.
It was about age earlier in the week…

Madsen, Burrell, and Kone were all his signings and he should by now be basking in the reflected glory of that as it's the best indication yet that he can deliver progress.
But lengthy injuries to Madsen, Burrell, and umpteen others takes the shine off the recruitment successes.
Our very poor injury record is an albatross around Nourry's neck, undoing some very good work. It can't be allowed to continue and if that means changing personnel then get on with it.
If he can't let go of his comfort blanket and ditch Williams then maybe he isn't up to the job.

In fairness, number of games experience is what I want too. It’s not about the age. But also, we just need better central midfielders to play with Madsen. Personally I think Field could provide the “legs” and experience we need in midfield.
In terms of “experience”, if we keep Field, I think our experienced players are Dunne, Chair, Field, JCS, Smyth. So we are probably 1 or 2 light in that area. But we’re not miles off it. But we will be miles off it if we go into next season with Hayden or Varane alongside Madsen.

Going back to this time last year when discussions between Kim Jung and JS started, I'd love to know what exactly JS was told about the role, expectations, the fitness and medico-rehab teams etc. and how JS compares what he was told and what the reality has been a year on.

Nourry has set the club up such that the head coach controls very little and acts as a human shield for Nourry, Belk and Williams while they pull his strings from within the shadows.
It's a mess and looks unworkable. Having a guiding methodology is fine but there has to be scope to be flexible and try different things mid-game if required. Teams which have only one way of doing things get found out.
Why oh why are we making it so hard for ourselves? Do we have a morbid fear of the obvious?
If we carry on like this next season, steel yourself for another outbreak of mediocrity fatigue .
