I think he came on as a sub against Reading away, the first time we played at their current ground.

Pretty sure it was injury time and he never touched the ball and the final whistle went soon after.

His one and only first team appearance for Rangers. Pretty bloody short. Although he was quite tall.

Peter Davidson didn’t last long. Neither, neither, nor.

Any shorter?

If Teddy Tarbotton, Ashley Trujillo or Kalen Brunson never play for us again, those of you in Plymouth can always say you were there

Carl played a lot - just not for us, despite Kate and Pete.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

Yup he certainly did has record for shortest debut ever I believe

Poll: Now it’s slightly clearer cut who do you want as manager ?

I think Oguchi Onyewu has to be the king of this - Redknapp does his usual "bare bones, need more players I've heard of" schtick and gets us to sign a former AC Milan defender with 60+ US Caps who was recently released by Sporting Lisbon, solely to sit on the bench 6 times. Zero minutes played, could have been a youth player, but no - it had to be a guy being paid the best part of a million a year.

I played in a corporate five a side competition in 1991 at Rosslyn Park rugby club. John Hollins was a friend of the Marketing Director of the firm that ran the competition and at the time, he was an agent for Dave Beasant (at Chelshite then but out injured after severing a tendon in his toe by dropping a jar of Hellman's on it), Dean Holdsworth and Carl Leaburn. They all showed up and reffed the games. BBQ at the end and some plastic trophies (one of which I still have in a cupboard somewhere). Great evening. What are the chances of any EPL players doing that these days (they were all First Division players at the time, pre the EPL)? Nil.

Deshane Dalling. 10 minute sub appearance against Swansea in the FA Cup 5-1 win against Swansea in 2020.

Now playing for AFC Whyteleafe (yeah, me neither).

And we wonder why Warburton never picked the DS players.

Tom Hitchcock managed a goal in his four minutes.

Edit, sorry, ten minutes.

Yes but this shows how we as a club give first team experience to the young ones and we are prepared to risk blooding these boys and it has been proven that these experiences have been invaluable in these boys' developments to a much higher professional level of performance.

Deshane Dalling looked really good in those 10 minutes as well. I thought he was going to be a decent player.

Richard Ord ?
Big signing (from Sunderland ?), £600k if memory serves ?

Never played a ‘proper’ game for us. Injured in a pre season friendly I think…..

got a few more.....

Towards the end of the 2001 relegation season we lost 3-0 at home to Stockport. Somewhere amongst all the misery Justin Cochrane came on as a sub, got a straight red card 17 minutes later.

Same season, last game away in the Midlands somewhere, Wolves I think.
A match overshadowed by Rs fans protesting against proposed merger with Wimbledon. Me & my mate painted a banner "STICK THE MERGER UP YOUR RS. WE DON WANT IT." a few photos of which got in the next day's paper.
Anyway a few players made their first & last appearance for us that day, Alvin Bubb was one, can't remember the others.

Then there was that game up in Leeds, Ian Holloway wasn't there, it was just before he was scandalously put onto gardening leave by the crook Paladini.
Very bizarre team selection though, back four were all new faces & they played that way too, proper Queens Park Strangers!! There was a goalie who came on loan for just a couple of week & only played for us that 1 time. Can't remember his name though.

Rangers legend Fernando De Ornelas who I remember seeing warming up as a sub & I thought that was the only time he'd been sighted in the ground.
But according to Wikipedia, he played 2 games for us. I have no recollection of either of those!!

By the way, his Wikipedia page is really something.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
In a 14 year career, he was on the books of 15 different clubs & averaged 9 appearances a season over his career.

He is now a pastor, presumably spending most of his time thanking God for giving him such a charmed life & all those lucrative signing on fees.

Who was that lad we signed from Arsenal reserves at the same time as Dominic Shimmin?
Only played 1 game for us, it was away at Leicester. Actually had a really good game but then got stretchered off with a broken leg & was never heard of again (maybe they shot him like they do with horses?)

That Leaburn game at Reading was memorable because I think it was Richard Langley's comeback from his big knee injury. A lovely player we don't talk enough about.

I was so excited when we signed him as we had a Barton playing for us. Dave Mc sent me a screenshot from ceefax saying Barton signs for QPR. I had it up on my wall.

He was sadly dogshit. At Grimsby he did some mad over the top celebrations when Sabin scored but then at Port Vale away I genuinley think they'd have been better putting me at right back, he ran in slow motion and pretty sure he retired not long after.

Yeh that midweeker at Port Vale was a real low point. One of the worst individual QPR performances I've seen.

Alex Higgins came on in that game (not the snooker player) and was a right nutcase, I liked him

Holloways last game he had a mad team out,, a load of them we never saw again away at Leeds

Phil Barnes,Marcin Kus,Andy Taylor. Keith Lowe

De Ornelass another one I was excited about as his name sounded like Horney Lass which I still find funny

The other one from Arsenal was Matt Hislop.

We also had a Lewis Hamilton who did 1 or 2 games and Lewis Walker was up front for a few games under John Eustace. I think he won a competition

I seem to remember Leaburn playing as a striker for Charlton for ages with only one goal to his name.

While on the subject of fleeting QPR links, it seems rude not to mention Kurt Bakholt.

The black Andy Gray apparently played 11 games for ourselves, but was known for two crackers for ourselves in a midweek 3 - 2 victory over Man Utd.

Only ever stayed anywhere for any length of time at Palace, strange for a player of his abilities.

Wasnt at the Man Utd game, dont think many were, believe was only around 10 000 crowd there that night, but what a performance and then he left from whence he came !!!!

And didnt realise the Gurnam Singh refereeing catastrophe debacle, we played against Spurs, he scored the winner for them, that night too.

Now we're all on a roll.

Aaron Brown - bought him from Bristol City. Always thought he looked good against us, but quelle surprise, he was crocked. Only saw him once.

Tony Simmonds - described by Terry Venables as, 'one for the future.' Not sure what future Terry envisioned, but we're still waiting.

Armel Tchakounte - If you know, you know! Saw him play in the reserves and I can genuinely say three things about him: unquestionably, the worst player I've ever seen in the B&W, whomever scouted him should have been sacked, and I think we've all played with better players than him. I mention Armel because for some reason, I think he made a matchday squad but thank God, he didn't get on.

I was at that United game, two brilliant goals by Gray. Weird to think we get much bigger crowds these days against the likes of Preston.
