I think he was meant to be a centre forward, he came on as sub in a home game and got a goal to equalise at 3 - 3 on his debut and then had seven random mini appearances showing zero ability, intent, or skill and that was that.
West Ham had decided he was awful and so they picked up the phone to ducking and diving wheeler dealer ex hammer and the bloke got out a cheque book and signed up this total dud.

Like Richard Pacquette he later played for Thamesmead Town. The club, sadly, folded in 2018. Probably worthy of its own thread but apparently Thamesmead Town’s mascot was Tommy The Thamesmead Toad.
