I don’t care about the Olympics.
£200 million and 4 points next season is the largest penalty given to any club I can remember. No other club - and by jove has their been some cheats - have lived up to this. Financial rule breakers fielding expensive players is night and day from a guy with his iphone.

Worst thing is I live in a PO post code and the amount of stick I am already getting for this is insane.
In all seriousness though I beleive in rehabilitation (unless you've killed someone deliberately or raped a child) It's not sack the management or let them walk away from the fallout from this. They have to fess up and put things right.
Even though we may not have got any advantage over spygate in the playoffs or matches we have owned up to spying, a 21 game unbeaten stretch with this going on makes me think we haven't admitted to it all. Remember how shit we were at defending set pieces earlier this season? Tonda improved that and our set pieces on attack improved as well. That sort of info you'd get from spying on training sessions so you knew where they strongest players were going to take up positions.
I feel sick to my stomach, but as far as I'm concerned Tonda and his team need to apologise to all Saints fan in a statement posted on thw website and committ to getting the club promoted next season automatically, so we avoid all this playoff crap next time.
£150-£200 million is disproportionate, but tbh we never earned it as we hadn't beaten Hull this season, so you can't say we'd have beaten them in the final. Therefore let the EFL have that as their hammer blow and appeal the 4 point deduction. Either or, they shouldn't be able to punish us twice. |  |

Yep. They owned up to the sh*t matches as if to say "it made no difference". I'm angry with the club for doing this.

Not all of that post, but would we really want to play in that game on Saturday. The penalty does not fit the crime compared to what other clubs have done, but this whole thing stinks and I'd be embarrassed to go to Wembley (not sure how to get dosh back for that yet btw).
However what should happen though is that Hull get a bye straight through to the Prem. No way should the northern Teeside tvvats be given the chance to get there |
Justice has to be seen to be served, and that includes re-admitting the club who were spied on at the biggest hurdle. | |

What we lose is the difference in profit we'd gain from the PL, not the difference in revenue. The difference in profit would have to include all the additional millions we'd throw at players and their agents if we were in the PL. We'd probably spend right up to the limits our revenue allows, just as we have done in prior seasons. So don't worry, we're not losing £200m. | | | |

They are custodians of the club that represents the city of Southampton and under their watch we've had to endure 2 record defeats,2 relegations (one a complete embarrassment) and now this

It’s a valid point.
Clubs lose just as much money in the Prem as in the Championship.
However, the fees we will now receive for Scienza, Harwood-Bellis, Charles, Jander and Ramsdale will be that much less as a (financially struggling) Championship club than if we were in the Prem.
And we would still he left with Damion Fcuking Downs, Sugawara and Brereton. |  |
