So disappointing.
IF he is not fit, then that is so poor from him.
IF the head coach doesn’t fancy him, why is Nourry not stepping in and telling the Head Coach that in player trading model a 20yr old with his goals to games ratio is a valuable asset to us. It’s not much of a burden to take him. This is the whole point of having a Head Coach not Manager and a DOF model.
IF he is being sold, fair enough, we need to sell, let’s hope it’s for a decent amount.
The club talks about player pathways, youth development, and player trading. Here is a lad who has come through the youth set up and had more impact in the first time from that route than anyone since Chair…it just seems very odd how we’ve treated him, even if he and his family are a bit difficult. | | | |

As was mentioned by Wombat in the other thread, if it's about fitness then that's on him.
I think he's deserved more chances than he's been given, but if the reasoning has been that he's not been fit enough then he's not helping himself. This does somewhat pass the eye test because he's a brilliant finisher but does seem to be blowing out of his arse a lot of the time.

To not be taken on the pre season tour means he's comeback after the break completely out of shape. That correlates with Stephans comment a couple of months ago about training well during the week and then playing Saturday when talking about Kolli.
I'm afraid it's a lack of professionalism from the player. Maybe stop the social media and get his head down and prove everyone wrong. | |

Perhaps there has been an argument behind the scenes?
Perhaps they want to sell him and he doesn’t want to leave so the old “train with kids” line is being taken?
Perhaps he has picked up an injury he needs to work on, which would have kept him out of the games on tour?

For now we have to take the club statement at face value, Rayan has stayed behind to work on fitness issues, he is not under the 'In ongoing discussions regarding their future' column.
A shame though as a part of these pre season trips is squad bonding.
As Clive says Rayan's social media activities can be a pain sometimes but the club should be well prepared to deal with this as so many young people take to social media like this. Let football do the talking and be the determining factor in Rayan's career. |  | | |

I don’t think it’s just the social media. From what I’ve seen of Stephan he doesn’t generally throw players under the bus. If he is saying in a slightly cryptic way about Kolli that those who train well are much more likely to start, I’m guessing (and yes it’s a guess but we’re all speculating all the time so why not?) what he really means is he’s a f*cking lazy a*se who thinks he’s better than he is. If Madsen, Dunne and Ronnie can bother to work hard and get themselves fit surely the largely unproven 20 year old can get to the gym occasionally in pre-season.
Look I’d love Kolli to be a massive superstar and our player of next season. And while I can see people’s point about Nourry being manipulative, secretive etc. I’ve seen nothing from Stephan that suggests that. If he’s saying he’s assessed him and decided not to take him then there’s got to be a reason. And I think he may be off ski. He’s undoubtedly talented but definitely not the complete player - his pressing and all round play aren’t perfect by any means- and if we have to sell him it’s better than rotting on the bench. |  | | |

It could be that Stephan doesn't think he suits the style of play that he wants rather than a fitness issue.
Personally, I like Kolli, but I think this has to be decision time. You either give him game time OR try to find another club that want him & get him off the clubs books. Just leaving him hanging around is not good for either party.
It appears to me that he will be leaving & I think we (his supporters) should be realistic in accepting that unfortunately, he doesn't have a future at Rangers. | | | |
