Kolli arrived around the 70th/80th minute and sat in the crowd not far from me. Poor fella was bombarded with photo requests but didn’t turn anyone away. |

I was really impressed by the fact that he stayed behind in the crowd for ages after the whistle for selfies with kids and adults.
My take is firstly he is a lovely guy given the way in which he interacted with everyone. Secondly he isn’t going to accept going out on a loan. He wants to stay and play. |
Kolli is absolutely right in not wanting to go out on loan. He has done enough for many fans to show that he is good enough for the Championship. He has scored the equivalent of 10 goals in a season if you combine his last two seasons. Plus a few assists.

Fair enough. Point was, he's only 21 and a winger so probably not really worth bashing his goalscoring record.
Watching the goals back, Morrison obviously does get burned by him but he shouldn't be isolated in a foot race that deep and wide with a winger. Bigger question really is why there's zero tracking, just some defence v attack training ground jogging. Which I suppose a friendly is, in a way.
Much more worried about Ward getting beaten for the second. Really weak keeping. Hopefully just rust, but shades of Nardi.
Nice to see kids playing so well, but would be surprised if there's not at least two more players signed by deadline, maybe more, as well as outgoings. |

His fitness has been an issue for a long time. I can't remember him playing many full games In the.DS cup in 25 he went off at HT and didn't play in the final. I think he played the full 90 at Plymouth and West Ham last season.
When he has played he has been observed frequently stretching after around 30 minutes.

It was great to see Burrell make a couple of those turbo charged sprints from already fast runs again, pressing Wimbledon defenders near the end of the game yesterday. I hadn't seen him do that since before he picked up his hamstring injury last season. Maybe he's not back at full speed yet but hopefully that looked like he still has it in him after the injury. Maybe he has been taking some legal supplements such to calm him down on the pitch.
With regards to Vale, I don’t see a combative midfielder in him. He is slow, but has some good touches and an eye for goal or assists. I wouldn’t put him in central midfield. Chair is quicker and more combative and better in that position if needed.
I would like a new cm signed to add competition to Varane. Isak is promising, but might lack the physical strength and for me is more a deputy to Madsen. |

Agree, Chair can't play in 442.
I did think we looked good in 433 and 4141, but against Wimbledon JS went back to 442 and all the same issues from last season reappeared.

Genuine question but do you think it depends on the oppo as well? Whether teams are high press or give you more space for example?
I’m also not sure whether it’s better to stick to a formation or whether players can be flexible enough to adapt throughout the season depending on availability of personnel and the teams we ‘re playing. In theory I’d quite like us to be adaptable. |  | | |

We've had a few managers like that: Aisworth, Warburton, Marti. They have a limited plan B except to do Plan A better. I'm happy we're trying different players out, in different positions, and in different formations. So Burrell wasn't great against Fiorentina, but against a leggy LB with 70 minutes on the clock, it'd be an interesting change. |  |

AFC Wimbledon have announced the attendance on their Instagram post and stated the away attendance as 1,365. You can add on another 40-50 dotted around the home end if you want to round up to 1,400 then that’s a decent following for a pre-season friendly.
Also, one of their groundsmen was singing along to the QPR songs and had the badge tattooed on his calf so can add him to our attendance figures too 😅 |
