I know he has had a serious injury , but my god he's good, we looked very vulnerable that side first half, so he just took the game to them, ( I thought players needed time to settle in?).
All of a sudden we have players off the bench that can push the game right back on the opposition, ( I wouldn't want to start the second half against Poku if I was knackered),
Andy Lloyds pace gets a Yellow off the Centre Half, I thought Blackburn were good First Half, very decent side, ( mind you taking us out on every counter attack should have been stopped earlier by Ward).

I only seen it once but a simply beautiful cross and even more impressive JD header to grab the win in front of the delirious travelling horde .

Chalk and cheese from last week. Good to see him getting forwards and plenty of competition for places emerging now.
Looking forward to the next batch of games, given we have a bench most full of first teamers for once. We also look far more likely to use it correctly.
Well done to everyone involved in the increased training, fitness and availability. Who knew that double training would help matters, long may not continue.

One time told to pass to the keeper, whacked it down the line and gave away procession. Didn't track Cantwell for his header at the back post, and there was another incident where Mbengue let the ball bounce in the box. Didn't anticipate it might come to him. Mbengue had a poor game yesterday after an excellent game against Bolton, but he’s a very different player to Lamptey and he definitely has his role in this squad. Could see the trio of Cirkin, Kamara and Lamptey (and Madsen tbf) are building minutes - clever from JS and the management team with games coming thick and fast. You have to feel there’s a bit more to come from all of them as the games tick over.

Both away games we have started bossing the game around the hour mark.
Partly that must be down to superior fitness (who would have thought it?).
But also because for the first time in years we have genuine game-changers on the bench.

Mbengue has started the season very well, not sure he should be critisized........it has been said but Edwards is not 'clean' with the Cantwell chance, he let him loose when he was close to him when entering the box-ball watching basically. | | | |

Yep. Because Lamptey has been good we don’t have to make Mbengue bad. What about that cross for the Chair goal, plus he’s been largely pretty good defensively. But we know he can’t last matches so it’s great to have Lamptey coming on when the game is opening up. It’s also fantastic to not have to overplay either of them, given speedy players like Mbengue are often prone to muscle injuries and Lamptey is injury prone anyway. That and our notorious issues with three game weeks. Lovely to be able to rotate finally without a chasm in levels. | | | |

That was totally Edwards fault; he was with Cantwell all the way up to the box and then stopped to hold DMC position when he should have carried on and kept with Cantwell.
Then Dunne turns around and brates at Mbengue, as he did not realise it was Edwards' fault.
Cantwell had three excellent chances to score yesterday; the strike across goal should have been a goal. But we had several others, like when Chair was clean through and scuffed his shot, and the keeper only just saved it.
Lamptey's class shone through on the left today; I suspect he will start there against Cardiff as LB. Adamson was decent as well. |  |

I now very little about Blackburn but Cantwell terrified me yesterday he appeared in the worst ever spots for us and another day could have scored a hattrick .Very strange he was taken off with like 5 minutes to go and was so pissed he did not give the captain's armband to anyone .
Ronnie was incredible and appeared in their box multiple times and could have scored a goal to match Blackburn's so I will forgive him for losing Cantwell but Mbengue was off the pace as was Chair . But we still won thankfully | | | |
