Two points on Vale. I'll be the first to admit he is not playing at the level het did last year, but I have a strong suspicion he is one of the few outfielders currently being able to go a full 90, hence him staying on. And then, might just be a case of trying to get him to play through the bad patch, because he will then be a good asset to the team. Some players need to get out of the firing line when in poor form, others need minutes to ride it out. I think Vale is of the 2nd type, because I don't see him dropping his head or giving up. |  | | |
