Two points on Vale. I'll be the first to admit he is not playing at the level het did last year, but I have a strong suspicion he is one of the few outfielders currently being able to go a full 90, hence him staying on. And then, might just be a case of trying to get him to play through the bad patch, because he will then be a good asset to the team. Some players need to get out of the firing line when in poor form, others need minutes to ride it out. I think Vale is of the 2nd type, because I don't see him dropping his head or giving up. |
He's definitely turning into a boo boy but I agree, I don't think he's a bad player, just a decent player performing really, really badly this season. And you're right that he's one of a dwindling number of players who are fit.
That said, I wish we had the possibility to drop him for a bit as he's been so bad this season | |

Am happier with that draw than the two recent 0-0s we should have won.
After 5 injuries in 3 games to some of our best players, to go to one of the best home teams in the league and draw is superb.
