There was a cross field pass today that made me think that he belongs at this level when taken on top of his performances this season. There were some standout performances today, and his was one of them. |
Yes. He created two big chances and three key passes.
He also completed 97% of passes accurately. Given that he wasn’t particularly playing safely yesterday and I think was trying to be positive that’s a good performance for someone with so few Championship matches under his belt.
I know it was against poor opposition but we did have ten men and I’d like to see more of him; he seems way ahead of our back up last year in Esquerdinha who I used to have to watch between my fingers. It goes to show the progress young players can make if they work hard in training and listen to their coaches. Thinking about it it’s quite an opportunity working with Stephan given the young players he’s had under him in the past and maybe Steve Bould and Kevin Betsy have had an impact too. |  | | |

Big improvement from last year, fair play to him, praised by JImmy Dunn and he would not do that if it wasn't appropriate.
Perhaps, could along with a few others, done better for the PNE 2nd goal (including the keeper??). |

I would definitely have shown him the line gazza. Or make him cross the ball from deep as that should be comfortable for the defence to deal with*.
There is an argument though, that he directed him into an area that was populated by our players.
* Allowing crosses from deep was coached into me by Charlie Townsend (England amateur international) & encouraged by a team mate of mine by the name of Kevin Beattie. Of course, this refers to when I was younger & I wouldn't have a clue as to what players are coached to do now! [Post edited 20 Sep 14:49]

Statistically he wasn’t in a particularly dangerous position to shoot from. Apparently it was a 3/100 chance of scoring, so we were a bit unlucky there. | | | |

Difficult as he is right footed so naturally turns that way to show him inside. Can't blame him though, as he was put in there due to Cirkins rash challenge.
Got to look at both Madsen and Edwards who combined to royally cock it up as well.
I'm gobsmacked by the improvement in Adamson since last season. As others have pointed out, it's amazing what a bit of hardwork and listening to the right people can do to their game.
A couple of other so called professional footballers at our club should take note. | |

Think the defence stability as a lot to do with Charles. Being a defender knowing you gave someone of his quality behind you certainly helps your game

I was expecting the worst when he came on as a sub the 1st time this season, but he put in a very good performance and has been good in all his games since.

So from last season our only QPR contracted player that could play left back was Esquerdinha.
