Had 10 mins and did ok. Fer wasn't looking all that for the other 80

Thought he did ok, bar the bizarre time-wasting thing.

He's no Ibrahimovic, but we're no PSG.

I thought that Fer's work rate was sub-par again. Frustrating, as his movement helped Austin a lot and he still got in a lot of good goal-scoring chances. He could have ended up with couple of goals.

But that work rate. It's so poor.

No idea why we don't play Chery over Fer

There has to be reason to hope that Jimmy can improve him.

I thought he did ok. Worked very hard, won the ball a couple of times. Missed the ball at the corner when he first came on, and decided to do that bizarre George Best act in the 4th minute of injury time, but I'd like to see him given a chance to find a bit of poise and confidence as a regular sub.

Stronger more physical presence is what's needed and that's why he gets the nod in my view.

god, give Polter a break. Can't count his contribution in the car crash Chris R management era. He's got a place on the bench i reckon at the moment.

Nice to see him back involved, some good management going on at the club now I reckon.
Thought he did well, lot better than JET did v Burnley .

Can't really judge a man thats had less minutes on the pitch than that poxy squirrel .

hes a ball of confusion thats capable of anything . I'd like to see him given a fair crack of the whip . A bench player for me and to cause a tsunami in the opposition penalty area if needed.

the gadge on sky said he started his carer as a goalkeeper, didnt know that!

Plus, he strikes me as a eccentric player that will either do a Bobby Zamora or a Tom Williams for us one day.

I understand the logic but Fer doesn't really do enough or put himself about to warrant it imo.

Is it time wasting when the keeper continues to walk into you with the ball then?

He was backing off him but the lad kept going towards him and the ref bought it

He's raw but he's up for it and is looking to settle at a new club
He reminds me at the moment of Mikel Beck minus the goals, or that Bing from behind the bar in Eastenders

Keep at it Poults

This.....

Just looks like a bit of a disinterested lazy fukker.

Amazing how putting a few more runs in and a bit of obvious effort can improve the perception of a player.

He looked like a drunk ordering a pint from a bar that he'd left two hours before (edit, during the time-wasting episode).

But I thought he did ok overall, LB. I haven't seen much of him but I'm with him all the way.

Okay so unfair to judge on what was little more then a cameo appearance but...
He looked like he was on a whole different ball park, imagine getting stuck in a lift with him and Samba Diakite.

He made a great decoy run for what was nearly the winner from Phillips. He occupies defenders and that frees up others

Good call for the bench.
Think he could be a very handy battering ram in the box when coming on. If he scores a goal or two suddenly becomes a worry for oppo defenders which would make life easier, more freedom and chances for Charlie.

No idea why we don't play Chery over Fer

I would have liked to have seen Chery on for Fer, but as Simmo pointed out during the match, the difference between them is Fer's height, and he can win headers or contest them better than Chery would be able to. So it just depends on the style of match and the type of balls you want to play in that area of the pitch. If it's intricate and to feet in the hole, and we have the quality to find the player in there, then it's Chery all day for me.

But if you are going to mix it up a bit more and play a little direct at times, as well as considering defensive work needed from set pieces, then you can see why the height does matter and why they may prefer Fer in there.

Polter did well in his 10 minutes. He got stuck in. Time we got behind this lad.

Never knowingly right.
