I saw this (below) on a Bournemouth forum. Sad really. I reckon many other clubs' fans used to like QPR, but our years of splashing the cash drained that little bit of affection. I remember going to see QPR at Dean Court, in about 1960. It was rather like attending a cricket match, with polite applause and occasional cries of 'Come on Boscombe'.
"Another team I love to hate, with their aggressive fans verbally assaulting any opposition players and throwing objects like coins constantly without any retribution, from the days of travelling back to Bournemouth on the train with their idiot fans gobbing off about how they are going to walk the league after two wins and then constantly failing, to my last visit to the building site where we had to run the gauntlet of their fans outside the ground, players like DoDo and Shittu and now Austin, the millions pumped in only to see them fail ha ha, I have constantly supported anyone they play so that they fail, there, I've got that out, I hate them."

Bournemouth got fined for over-spending during their promotion season so they're not really one to talk when it comes to other clubs splashing the cash.

Maybe he is the bournemouth fan who tried to go all football factory in the Queens Park pub pre match about 20 odd years back for a pre season friendly and was "persuaded to leave" i could understand why he might have a grudge, wot a plonker

OK we were caught bang to rights on FFP (and have been paying for it ever since.) But what did we get for it? The Hughes and Redknapp teams must have been the worst assembled for the cost in English football history - Charlie Austin was about the only one worth the money. We all disliked or even hated most of the players, the seasons were miserable apart from one day at Wembley (actually about 5 minutes if we're honest).
Unlike every team who have ever won the Premier League (including Leicester if you look hard) who got where they are through money and have got away with it apart from one season each for Man City and Them. We got hammered, then the rules were changed. As everyone else has pointed out Plucky Little Bournemouth and others have thrown cash about at least as much as we did and have benefitted far more for it.
Screw the lot of 'em, the can hate us if they want, it just makes me despise all of them for the sanctimonious hypocrites and c*cksponges that they are.

Based on the overall demographic of Bournemouth, he is probably bitter that he had his Werthers Originals, tongue sandwiches and thermos of weak lemon barley confiscated on the way into the ground. I bet he is one of the feared Bus Pass Firm, who regularly get into rows at National Trust cafés with their hated rivals, the Saga Louts.

To be fair to the Bournemouth idiot he is only doing what many posters on this forum do. Express petty hates about clubs, players, managers, Sky, FA, FIFA, referees......anyone really. NorthernR himself is a ringleader for this approach to football with his silly names for football teams and disparaging remarks. Lets face it, football's more pantomine than war.
Taking it too seriously is the problem.

A common human tactic of diverting attention away from your own misdemeanours by highlighting others doing the same thing. There is a lot of hypocrisy in all walks of life.
In theory Southampton are their closest rivals but their attention is focused on Portsmouth so some Bournemouth fans dislike London clubs. In fact I know a Southampton fan who hates us because we once had a plastic pitch!
