Gilmour for me, his Telecaster is just bloody beautiful (I've got two Telecasters so I'm a bit of a Telecaster oddball) never mind all that bolox, for all of you guitarists out there watch Gilmour when the song ends he still goes over to his Fender amplifier to switch it to 'standby' that shows me a Man who has respect for his equipment, beautiful song sang and played live to perfection. Respect.
My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

Iggy Pop. 75. Concert in Copenhagen this past Sunday. I didn't go, but I heard from some friends that he is indeed still going strong in his 70's.
Saw him four years ago supporting QOTSA at their Finsbury Park gig.
Not only still going strong but in better physical shape than most the crowd! A real walking miracle that he's still going at 75 with the life he lived!

I saw Herbert Blomstedt conducting Bruckner at the South Bank last month…95 in July. He didn’t seem bothered by an hour on his feet, but looked like the curtain calls would kill him. Joao Maria Pires on the piano the same night, a mere 78.

Not bad for an 85 year old (at the time of this concert):
He was an electronic music pioneer, in Cluster and Harmonia, but as you will see if you listen in, he is also an amazing pianist.
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
