Only 70, I gather - hardly a full innings, but it's how you live, now how long of course! Either way, another precious piece of my childhood gone but never forgotten ('Denis' was the first record I bought). The guy was a drummer dervish!

Met him several times at the International Beatles Week festivals in Liverpool, including August 2024. Such a down to earth, lovely, fun loving, easy going character. A real tragedy to lose someone like this. RIP.
The drumming in this is the rack and pinion. The engine room. When i heard he passed this was the track that popped into my head. Driving four to the floor drumming that carried it across the finishing line. Clem at his best. Beatification in extremis. magic.
