Well we were apparently equal bottom in the league last year with nine. So the new coach will be very happy with the low bar to start from.

He didn't work on set pieces with the first team at Chelsea
Boughey has been added to the R’s coaching department after spending 13 years with Chelsea. He worked across their academy before being named First Team Player Development Coach Analyst in 2022.
He has also been Professional Development Phase Set Play Coach at Stamford Bridge for the past four years. |  | | |

TBT I think there was a sizeable improvement in our delivery last year. Whereas before It was virtually all really poor, last season it was more mixed, some excellent and a few very poor. Now the likes of Harvey Vale have to be more consistent with set piece taking. | | | |

Well he will have to coach them how to take corners and free kicks.
Maybe Kemper is capable of taking good corners (better ones than Paal used to take).
Madsen took some decent corners last season. However, it seemed to me that the players were not coached into attacking the ball or were going incorrectly positioned to do so. | | | |

It could be interesting during games, especially if they don’t report to Jules.
I think we could focus on beating the first man at corners and missing the wall as a start.
Canning the short corner demands would be a nice second, keep them for surprise only.
Long throws could actually become long throws and as for kicking to touch from kick-off, into the sea.
Goals scored from SPs might be more achievable ‘goals’ at that point but I’m not sure you need a set piece coach to fix any of the above…it seems rather fundamental and basic to me, as per fixing the defending mistake we made on Saturday with a change of CBs. Not sure if they were coached just to stick their hands up and pretend to be Arsenal but we are definitely not them. |  |

Would be nice to see free kicks within reasonable range resulting in a delivery to the box rather then back to the goalkeeper in three moves. What's the point of that? You're telling the opposition they can keep on fouling you with no jeopardy. |  |
