Wealth management is certainly not my field so its no surprise that I cannot fathom why they do it. But I think they can deduct operating losses from any Capital Gains bill they may get in the future if they manage to sell the club. Pretty sure there is far more to it than that though |  | | |

I wonder how much revenue the club makes from hiring the facilities out for overseas teams visiting London for their European fixtures (or internationals against England). I know we've done it several times due to our proximity to Heathrow and it makes 100% sense for them and us. Perhaps this extension will also help us corner that market a bit as well, a USP we have that not many other clubs can match. |  | | |

Reuben is very much a sleeping partner in that he puts the money in consistently and takes a back seat with everything else. Is he rarely at games ?
Obviously some of the more hands on owners have taken on and tried to influence all other decisions in the club a la Briatore and Fernandes and its nice to see a man attempting to do things the right way.
But I guess, isn't he a multi billionaire so the amounts he is putting into our club each month, is equivalent to us giving the club about 5% of our income each year and when you have such massive bank balances, probably all his billions make way way more each year in interest that he loses by propping up this club.
Nice hobby to have if you can spare the cash.
But very pleased he is with us and this news on the training ground is very positive also. |  |

It's been a good news week, I'm usually rolling my eyes when they hold announcements back then do them one after the other but after the World Cup it has made sense this summer and hopefully helps sell a few tickets for the upcoming friendlies.

Its things like this that highlight we need to be grateful for our owners and not some complete wrong-un - I have often read here we need to bin off our owners and how they are not interested. These sort of things are much more important to the long term of the club than say signing a bloke with a crap ACL and dodgy ham strings.

Excellent news , is this on the exisiting land for the training ground or have we bought the land which was aval a while back connected to the training ground to fit it all in ? think it was a year or so that a piece of and towards the back of the training ground was for sale so wondering if we have invested in that |  |

It would have done at Harlington. The end of that third runway buts right up against those fields. You'd have had A380s coming in about 150 feet over your head. | | | |

I'm not convinced it'll ever happen. One of the plans I saw showed Heathrow spilling into the M25, I don't see any major work going through on one of the busiest sections like that |  | | |
