One of the best signings we've made in the last 20 years. Up there with Charlie Austin. Well done to the club for signing him in the first place, and well done to extending him until 2020.
I imagine there is a release clause (it's common sense on his and his agents' part), but that's better than having him run out his contract. And with 2020 as the expiry date of the contract, there's no chance of that. So, we're either guaranteed us a transfer fee for him, or his services for another 3.5 years.

In a way he could do himself a favour in the medium term just being here and enjoying being highly regarded and first on the team sheet and because we are where we are the focus will be on us improving as a team around him.
If he walks into a Premier League club that is scouring the market trying to find a replacement scapegoat for their current scapegoat, I imagine the pressure rakes up to the extent that you begin to wonder whether any amount of money is worth having every single goal you concede being analyzed 50 times a week on telly with the Son of Candleface telling the Sky Sports viewers that a goalie has to do better with that one!
