Coventry going home...(again) 12:31 - Mar 10 with 2056 viewsslmrstid

The trials and tribulations of that over the years have been written about far better than anything I could muster by individuals far more qualified.

But ultimately it really is barmy that a stadium that was ultimately built for Coventry City has ended up with them spending so many years away from it in its short history, and sold to another club entirely! Especially when that club moved 70-80 odd miles to do it.

Good for their fans at least.

I still remember that first game at the Ricoh and it being like the Wild West outside...crazy.

Arguably one of the worst decisions by a football club ever? What exactly was wrong with Highfield Road?

The wait for the bus to the station on the way home.

Parking was at the M6 junction, afield on the motorway roundabout.

Only place to buy anything was the Novotel. Not even a corner shop on the walk to the stadium.

When you finally get there away fans housed at the far end.

At least Ugo Ukah wont be playing for us

A really grim part of Coventry

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

I thought of Clive when I saw this post on the same subject on a Bristol City forum:

"Great news. Really good stadium for an away trip ( if away fans are allowed next season). Massive free car park next to the stadium ( providing you spend £50 in the shopping centre / Tesco and keep your receipt).

will defo have that one pencilled in."

Combining an away game with a big shop - happy fuc king days!

Fulham FC: It's the taking part that counts

I know, Mick! I didn't know about the Tesco and the free-parking! Ocado - go fu ck yourselves, we're going to the Ricoh! If we go down and Cov stay-up, it's the first fixture I'm looking for! I might even learn to drive, buy a car and get myself a Cov season-ticket.
