The quandary for Arse is that they could never compete with Citeh or Chel$ki in the transfer market for the top/most expensive players. They were always at level 2. That was fine whilst there were only 4 clubs realistically competing for the CL places. They got in every year and bought level 2 players.
But the arrival of Leicester, Spuds, Everton to the level 2 market and stretched them. They now have to compete with others and now dont have CL money either. Viscious circle. |  |
