5 on the podium for me, scores in descending order (from 8.5 to 8.0) 1) Field 2) Dunne 3) Pal (gave their best player very little all night) 4) Dieng 5) Willow + Chair

Agree, Mick. Field the Sheild is an outstanding CDM. He gets through lots of unseen work as well as his blocks and tackles. We're a better team for having him.

yeah, Norwood really impressed me. Couldn't pick a mom for us, a few good shouts. Amos really picked up in the second half, as well.

So pleased Mick ended the experiment with Field as an attacking midfielder. He's an excellent CDM.

Good point. How could I forget Chair. He’s been playing at such a high level this season that I’m almost taking it for granted.

Presumably, his 'unseen' work has been seen by you at least, or you wouldn't be able to tell us he was getting through it. :-) [Post edited 4 Oct 2022 22:52]

He seems to be cutting out the rash challenges, too. I’m glad he’s ours.

Norwood wasn't any great shakes, nor were any of theirs for me. They may be top, but from what I saw tonight, I wouldn't trade one player in hoops for anyone in stripes. Oh, and we even stopped Billy Sharp (now 36) from scoring against us. Restricting him to a petty bookable foul gave me added Schadenfreude on a highly Freudevoll night. [Post edited 4 Oct 2022 22:52]

| Man of the match. on 23:05 - Oct 4 with 1598 views | gazza1 | Proper decent performance tonight.....they were all stars in my book. They defended as a team, played as a team, attacked as a team, proper everywhere. The shutting down of the Sheffield players was decent, and Sheffield ain’t a bad side but we were better. We play like we did tonight then we got real chances, if we are in the position we were last season in Jan or Feb I don’t think they will fail themselves or us. Fair play to everyone one of them. (World class). Watch Willock look up seconds before he scores, he knew exactly what he was gonna do and exactly where he was gonna shoot, and he did just that. He's exceptionally talented. | |

I had Willock first goalscorer / Sam Field Booked to be booked parlay at 20/1 so was hoping for a little niggly foul right at the end there. Can't take the shine off an amazing win though!
