Bit dumb that sort of theft because those display phones don't work and are deactivated very easily.

I think people are just more wary nowadays and know the difference between the value of a phone and the value of a life.

I witnessed along with about six others a man shake his ex girlfriend s car put his boot through the window
We all stopped and watched.
He left and I was only one who stayed
Went with the girl to local police station. We both gave witness statements
I was called to appear at magustrates Court case.
Waited there four hours then told the girl not turning up. She got a new partner and pregnant by him. She moved on and she dropped the case. |  |

We had a security guard at our truck depot who used to work security for the supermarkets.He was covered in scars and broken bones from trying to stop people stealing things from their stores.

Actually witnessed two blokes squaring up to each, initially by hurling verbals to each other, before they started shaping up to each other.
Was carrying on for around five minutes when a woman who happened be a neighbour of mine, got between them trying to make them both go their separate ways, which after a bit of "my dad's bigger than your dad" they did both slope off.
I did see the woman , not long after and said really well done what you did.
She is very tall woman around 6 foot 2, I think, but I knew she has struggles with her anxieties but she reasoned away that they would not hit a woman, ie it was in middle of town.
Most people were just letting these two men look stupid amongst themselves, as they were either both very drunk, or under influence of some dodgy drugs of some kind. [Post edited 11 Jan 2023 17:10]

I did stop two blokes having a fight once in Kingston. Neither wanted to back down. One was a dad-type and the other looked a bit hard. Turned out he'd just got out of prison. I convinced him it wasn't a good idea to end up straight back in prison! I think it helped being a woman as he didn't have to save face with me so much.

I still think people (like Nix and others for example) are fundamentally good, but this generation’s relationship with the corporate world and it’s understanding of why people do petty crime has changed, in my opinion.
