An entirely different kind of flying, altogether – Report on 21:58 - Aug 13 with 7265 views | timcocking | I’d forgotten how much pleasure a QPR match can give. My God, gotta love Sinclair Armstrong. To see him tear up in the interview….love that boy.
An entirely different kind of flying, altogether – Report on 22:01 - Aug 13 with 7245 views | colinallcars | Thanks Clive, as Churchill said - this is not the end. It is not the beginning of the end. But it could be the bit in the middle. I'm going to bed.
An entirely different kind of flying, altogether – Report on 22:07 - Aug 13 with 7206 views | Burnleyhoop | Seeing Armstrong bounding over the hoardings and fist pumping, wow, that boy is frightening. You just know he and Smyth are going to get injured now. We’re not allowed nice things you know. Great report, weekend made.
An entirely different kind of flying, altogether – Report on 22:33 - Aug 13 with 7043 views | derbyhoop | Given the recent history Cardiff have had, that's not the most sensitive of headlines. However, the report was spot on. Cardiff were not a patch on Watford and nobody in the QPR ranks played badly. Before the pre season previews, we were all looking for 3 teams worse than us. We may have just played one of them. I thought we looked the better side for 70 minutes. Once we replaced Armstrong and Smyth we lost our out ball and had no pace. There were plenty of others who looked done by the end. One must hope that fitness levels can be ramped up to the point that a 70 minute performance can be turned into a 100 minute one

Tbf mate I think Cardiff pretending they didn’t have to pay a transfer fee for the poor sod for 4 years is more problematic than me using an Airplane line in a match report. Be a bit bloody rum for them to start getting sensitive now.
An entirely different kind of flying, altogether – Report on 01:11 - Aug 14 with 6488 views | CLAREMAN1995 | Magnificent work again nothing like reading about a QPR win even more fun when its unexpected . Small regret that Armstrongs first goal was not in front of our fans in the away end but its all good.He did sprint over when Paal scored while the rest went to Paal. Hopefully someone on LFW got his shirt it would mean something more that way. Next league game (forget the cup ) is critical now IMO.We have to push on from this and get on a streak of points if possible

A guy called Declan Finnegan got Armstrongs shirt. He's a member of the Irish Rs Facebook group and travels over from Ireland for nearly every home and away game so very deserving of that shirt! | | | | Login to get fewer ads
An entirely different kind of flying, altogether – Report on 10:21 - Aug 14 with 5621 views | Welsh_Ranger | Great report as per! As I saw it and the same as probably everyone else is that we don't have the depth on the bench to make the changes to see the game through. Sadly we became worse for every sub that was made for those tired legs on the pitch. SDM would have been a better sub to bring on IMO. Cardiff wouldn't have been the right game but it would be nice to see what Kolli and Aoraha might bring, hopefully at least some youth and enthusiasm.

An entirely different kind of flying, altogether – Report on 11:24 - Aug 14 with 5396 views | daveB | I thought the first hour we were fantastic, best I've seen us play since that Cardiff home game last year. Loads of energy, good shape without the ball and excellent pressing especially both wing backs, Paal bullied Bowler out of the game, Smyth was so good everything I've always hoped he could be. Reminds me so much of Ainsworth as a player, just non stop work and effort Once they scored it was a bit of a horror show but can't fault the effort and so much better than last week and most of last season. I really hope they build on this, for all the talk of improved fitness etc it was worrying to see so many players dead on their feet during the last 15 minutes

Watching on a stream (from France) couldn't see Pal arriving, just hoped SA had played a decent ball. He had played a brilliant ball. I wonder what Sinclair was like coming down the M4, Zebedee or in the land of nod?

Yeah there was a moment there where you thought "why's he done that, hope someone is coming" then in comes Paal from out of shot to smash home. Like an economy version of the Carlos Alberto goal!

They played very well in that game, nowhere near that level Saturday. I suspect Leeds might be low key sht this year too but I'll probably end up being wrong. Possibly took us a little bit for granted given all the noise around us is that we're complete dogsht.

"Possibly took us a little bit for granted given all the noise around us is that we're complete dogsht." Very possibly, ya. We outworked them from the first minute, by a distance. There was a moment, maybe ten minutes in when I was looking at the screen, and we were bad-rashing them, and the thought occurred "Cardiff aren't going to able to just switch on the workrate now"

An entirely different kind of flying, altogether – Report on 16:30 - Aug 14 with 4287 views | simmo | I definitely think the new shape and way of playing caught them a little cold, but ultimately I think they just didn't expect to have to do anything but turn up. Tbf - you can't blame them impossible to assume we'd improve that much within a week with largely the same personnel. I'm hoping teams continue assume that of us, at least until we get a chance to settle the squad and add some depth.

I was wondering if I'd got Cardiff wrong from the little of what I saw of them at Leeds! Players going forward & running at defenders, very different to the past few seasons. I've been confident (apart from last week!) that Cardiff & Wednesday will finish below us & it is important that we can compete & gain points from these sides. I suspect that Ipswich on Saturday will be a harder match for us than Southampton will be, but I badly need us to match their effort! The performance at Cardiff has given me hope that we will.

Thought Ipswich would be very good, looks like they are. Another very Russell Martin performance on Saturday - 70% of the ball, xG of barely 1, four goals conceded, two points dropped.

Southampton going about this all the wrong way... Your squad is so much better than 95% of the league and you're turning down bids bigger than the budget of most of us combined... Like going round to shag Margot Robbie and worrying that her dog is watching. Get on with it you divs.

The fitness thing is a worry. If 5 minutes get added to first halves and 10 minutes to second halves, we could find ourselves dead on our feet with half an hour still to play. The EFL leagues may get determined by the fittest teams rather than sides with the best players. Watching Newcastle demolish Villa, it was noticeable how much fitter they looked than us and seemed to get more energetic the longer it went on. Whilst Newcastle have better footballers, our players should at least be as fit as them in the professional game.
An entirely different kind of flying, altogether – Report on 23:04 - Aug 14 with 3271 views | thehat | Thanks Clive - Sounds a top day out. I was away so missed the game but was delighted when I got the result. Pleased to hear the players body language was much improved from Watford too. Just got my ticket for Wednesday - Quite looking forward to it now.
