So, it is very possible, we could finish anywhere between 9th and 17th.
So a huge difference in terms of position, with only three games remaiming.
The next two home games should both be very winnable and with Madsen, Chair and Burrell all available again, i sincerely hope we play all three games like it really matters.
Speaking for myself, even if the points difference is minimal this season, a season finishing 9th as opposed to a season finishing 17th is huge.

The way to give young players experience is loaning them out to lower level teams , not throwing them in at the deep end in a fully competitive championship game, which most not all, are out of their depth at the stages of the careers they are at.
Smith, i agree with, he could have a cameo at loftus road, but the other two have already been given ample chances and have shown to not be at the level required, as yet. Its like they put two 15 year olds on the pitch for a few minutes at Plymouth. That experience means nothing. Particularly if the boys are four years away from being first team squad members.
So a few more teenagers are thrown out to the wolves for experience, and we dont end up 9th but way down in 17th !!!!!! [Post edited 21 Apr 11:05]

I agree with you on a point of principle.
But just about the only thing I sort-of-like (…) about the Premier League is the considerable financial award for each and every league position – even in a league of megabucks, it does add a degree of incentive to the so-called smaller Prem clubs.
In the Championship as we know, it doesn’t matter financially if you finish 7th or 21st and I guess this can easily influence the thinking of clubs like ours. You already see a change in tone from Julien’s recent interviews – two weeks ago it was about ‘finishing as high as possible and pushing beyond 60 towards maybe 70 pts’. Now the narrative appears to be ‘thinking about the future’ and giving game time to players.
It’s a balancing act – I would also like to see a top half finish with all the momentum arguments it brings. But then, look at Hull City last year to this year. Look at us after the fine Gerry season of 1999-00 and what followed…. | | | |

I think Saturdays performance first half will actually have a good impact on the summer and next season judging by the changes at half time and Stephans comments after the game. 2) Say goodbye and thanks to cradle blockers Hayden and RND
3) Give the injured players a bonus month on the beach to recover.

Add in Madsen, Chair and Burrell with increasing minutes and let's see if we can hold Derby and Ipswich. Not in play-off contention, out of the cups in the first round both times. Yes, we may have a few points more but this is a very average league and last season we had a poor start if memory serves me right. Certainly an improvement on the lows of the Ainsworth era but if you've spent some money, you'd expect that. As you and others , myself included, have said, young players need to learn by going out on loan and not throwing them in at the deep end. Unless of course, they are exceptionally talented like Dowman at Arsenal. However, QPR do not have any young player of that calibre.
So, Adamson, Bennie, Esquerdinha, Pearman, Dillon , Akindineli and Smith should spend at least 3 months out on loan during August-January next season (preferably at a L1 or L2 side). They will learn far more out there than in the DS or throwing them in to learn on the job as Walsh has been doing this season. | | | |

I agree and last season QPR had Frey and Celar as the only senior strikers after the August window and no one else added after those two missed most of the second half of the season.
To finish between 14th and 17th should be seen as utter failure. Cifuentes had as many injured players as Stephan has. | | | |

Sounds like then, everyone should lump on Ipswich for automatic promotion.

The club being honest is absolutely the best policy to keep fans onside.
Jimmy, is he really injured or is he being rested honestly. I guess it is possible but it is convenient.
And then Saito, also being said to be injured when he has been in dreadful form and there are potentially better players on our books. Really unsure about that one.
I could be completely wrong but think this regime has an air of economical truths. Smokescreens appear to be in existence. Not neccessary though for me [Post edited 21 Apr 17:36]
