So, it is very possible, we could finish anywhere between 9th and 17th.
So a huge difference in terms of position, with only three games remaiming.
The next two home games should both be very winnable and with Madsen, Chair and Burrell all available again, i sincerely hope we play all three games like it really matters.
Speaking for myself, even if the points difference is minimal this season, a season finishing 9th as opposed to a season finishing 17th is huge.

I'd like to see the exact opposite.
1) Start any youngsters the club intends to give minutes to next season
2) Say goodbye and thanks to cradle blockers Hayden and RND
3) Give the injured players a bonus month on the beach to recover.

Normally agree with you, Bazz, but maybe not on this.
I think young players should get a chance as in ten minutes here and there as part of an otherwise settled team trying it's best, then building them up slowly to full games if they go well. I'm not sure about throwing them in for a full game at the end of season when the older 'pros' might have one eye on the bus to Heathrow. |  |

Sounds like then, everyone should lump on Ipswich for automatic promotion.
If i was a fan of Southampton, Boro and Millwall, i'd be totelly p*ss*d with QPR doing this.

Nailed on 16th again after tonight and our two remaining games. Is that an improvement on last season? I like Julien but fitness issues/injuries, a lack of quality in midfield (apart from Madsen) and a lack of fight have hampered any real progress. Swansea played us off the park tonight, we looked on the beach/so far off it. Agree with the OP, good teams (and the teams who will challenge next year and I think Swansea will be up there) finish the season strongly.

Well, those who wants the children to be played instead of the First Team players you saw it tonight......utter rubbish. And if posters think it is great for the children to play ahead of Chair, Madsen, etc, etc are wrong, please do not think that it makes the children better players because it is so wide of the mark - just what did they get out of the game running about like 'headless chickens' being embarrassed by decent Swansea players.
I do not know whom is selecting the team, etc but they need their heads tested......and as for the Manager taking 60 minutes to introduce our better experienced players - bad decision. They actually should have started the match & I see no reason why they should not of.
I do not pay first team prices for season tickets to watch a load of children playing as 'pretend' First teamers!!!!

Baz, we’re 2 points better than last season. You and I know performance is relative to what you invest in it. The club has spent about £15m on players this season, increased it’s wage bill, and has struck gold with Kone and Burrell…and we are going to finish a few points ahead of last year.
I don’t see the progress. Who are we selling for big money so we can invest? That’s the model? We’re worse on FFP/PSR. Our EDS hasn’t won anything this season, and outside the two players who broke into the season last season, we’ve seen zero progression from it into the team this season, and no one is tearing up trees on loan down the tiers. Oh, and we sacked the fella who developed the side that won a trophy.
A second year in a row the players don’t look fit, an we’ve been hampered by injuries.
Where is the progress? 5 extra points in mid table (2 currently!) is not progress for the money we spent. |  | | |

Hayden’s legs have gone to me. He was miles off it.
We lack gnarly, experienced pros who are physical and organise their younger team mates. Cook had a poor game, but when he went off it became a shambles organisationally. No Field. No Dunne. Chair feeling his way back to it off the bench.

Where we finish every season is important. Are we literally the only professional Sports team in the world who are just so Blase about everything. Standards are completely in the bin. Still. Win a football match. We just toss away game after game. Cup after cup. All for this supposed bright future that never appears. I've never seen a business with so many excuses in their locker. Just play the next game and the game after that. Focus on the next challenge. So frustrating. This is not a criticism of the fans but I've even heard on here that some players shouldn't play the last 5 or 6 games to save them for next season!! What that's not how professional sport works. You're under contract and at the end of that contract you can just walk away. So while you're being paid here, you'll play. Sorry ranting now. | | | |

Strange post sir.
What was meant by that thread was the team weren't getting promoted and weren't getting relegated and were ready for the beach.
I didnt want it to be so, but could see elements of that then.
