On a human level he obviously has demons that he is struggling to deal with and I wish him only the best. On a professional level we have taken a number of risks this and the last transfer window and they can all be justified to various degrees. We have no reason to take a punt on Ali.

It like saying how about Raheem Sterling, Jadon Sancho, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain.

They would all be way too expensive and with only ever a very basic level of performance guaranteed. The high levels they reached in the past for all of these and Dele Ali, its never going to happen.

And in attack and attacking midfield, we have some half decent options, so its not an area , where we need to recruit
