I do think without Kone (last seasons version) we really lack someone up top able to hold the ball and allow the midfield to get up and support. We don't have anyone running beyond the strikers at the moment and it's frustrating.

Preston take an early lead after a defensive mix up. Just before the end of the first half we win a penalty and they have a player sent off. Penalty missed. Second half, two clearances off the line, one off the post, one ruled out for offside, several ridiculous saves and a shank over the bar when it would have been easier to score. To be fair to Mbengue, I was pleasantly surprised as to how long it took for him to get to his first ban. I thought he’d get banned a lot sooner than he did. If I remember correctly, I don’t think he got banned until early January. (I stand to be corrected tho!). |  | | |
