Back in the day, The Dell was a guaranteed 3 points and that extended to the early days at their soulless bowl in the middle of nowhere culminating in a Ray Jones special.
But recently nothing but heartache from Charlie Austin's spectacular consolation to last season's debacle following Madsen's injury. Their bench on that day compared to ours, the manner of defeat, Flynn Downes' taunting of Handsome Ronnie at 3-0, their cheating during the summer, their unbearable arrogance and lack of contrition since and their locality to my home mean that I have a budgening hatred for what they are. I simply cannot bear to be there.

I live 4 miles away and completely understand where you are coming from. Walking out a few months ago having been pumped, then abused on the way back to the car (3 kids also with me), their following doesn't seem to have any humility or understanding of what they are / were a few years ago, its pretty intolerable listening to it every week. That night in Feb was chronic. The kids are desperate to go, me not so much.... |  | | |

I live 4 miles away and completely understand where you are coming from. We had a great record there in the early years of the new ground. Can’t be worse than last season even if we get turned over comfortably. Not being from near the area they’ve always been a bit meh to me while Pompey feels more of a proper away day but the escapades to finish their season have created a bit of an edge with every team.
