Blue Lights on BBC has been excellent since the very start. Judging by the ending there won't be any more. Although I wouldn't be surprised to see a spin-off or 2. |

Finished off Slow Horses Season 6 last night - brilliant as usual.
Gary Oldman steals every single scene he is in and does so effortlessly.
No spoilers but was sad to see one of the current cast disposed of in the last episode.
Related obviously to the show per se but I don't see Jack Lowden as the next James Bond; my choice for that would be Theo James (the gorgeous b'stard that he is).
Back to Slow Hourse - delighted to see there is alreadya Season 7 done and being cut together for release soon. |  |

7 is done, I think the one they are filming now is season 8
Apparently they are working so far ahead because of River being the next James Bond, which ruins season 6 if you haven't seen it.
Also, James Bond is just being rebooted, so they are literally going back to the start, so more disappointment there as well |  | | |

The 1950's film was a decent effort, but the book's joy is not just the story but the sheer poetry, the dance, the hop, the joy, the drop, the fear, the woe, the hope of Steinbeck's writing.
And the hope again. And again. The hope.
That can't be done in a couple of hours.
I hope it's great.
But I urge you all to read the book.

Brian I couldn't have put it better myself. An amazing writer. I loved the book and loved Grapes of Wrath too, an incredible book.
