Kane registers his latest brainless booking - do these players EVER learn?

Poll: What d'ya expect from our last 3 holiday games (WBA(A), Norwich(H), Sheff W(H))?

todd kanes passing today has almost as bad as his tracking back....

I try not to dig players out but Todd Kane is so clearly not up to this level. One in roughly 7 games he hits the form that he must have had as a younger player but something has happened since then. In distribution from the back he's so often the weak link. Defending he's a liability.

i think at this point, for whatever reason, its apparent that chair is not good enough at this stage in his career to assume dead ball responsibilities

we cannot for the life of us create a chance

its genuinely troubling that after all these matches, we continue to waste these half chances with chairs terrible corners... if nothing else, why not let carroll take a few just to challenge chair and encourage him to improve

There's mistakes, too many for sure, but this isn't how you expect a guaranteed promotion team and a dead cert for relegation to play out. Keep this level of concentration, freedom on the ball AND cut out the mistakes and we'll be ok, we're not one of the three worst football teams in this league when we concentrate on shape and closing down quickly

We don't look out of place though. But that's been true early on in most games.

Boro back in the game 2-1. Bit of a boll ocking from Neil at half time perhaps?

i disagree, i think we've been pretty poor

giving the ball away for fun.... zero chances created

we're not getting destroyed... but we're hardly competing

Think Karl they look as though they are in 2nd gear. They almost know that eventually they will score and beat us as we don't have any threat.

Kane had four players to play that ball to, and didn't find any of them.

Helen Keller would have a better pass completion % than Kane.

Understand your point but I'm coming more from the angle that we are comfortable in possession and do carry a threat, albeit not a big one.
We've just had a terrible 5 mins as well, Kane proving Brooklynn 100% unfortunately, although left back (not sure if it was actually Niko) was day dreaming under a long diagonal and let in dangerous run from wide, these are the killer moments.
So far I think out of possession we have been good with closing down quickly and keeping good shape. Our closing down can too often be too slow and don't get close enough to the wide man. Just that long ball I mentioned that has concerned me too much
