Pull the udder one Huddersfield match thread 18:28 - Apr 13 with 26820 viewsenfieldargh

Not had a crack this season ooh matron at starting a match thread

Normally a grimey graveyard for sone of the better line ups we’ve been able to field up in this neck of Yorkshire

Be amazed if we win likely to loose we don’t draw and scoring more than one off the menu

I’m going for a 5-0 win man

captains fantastic

Come on, let's build on this! It's there for us if we can produce some more quality. It's not been great, but let's scrap for the win!

HT REPORT
We thoroughly deserve to be 1-1 at third placed Huddersfield.
I know this thread certainly - during a match - is to vent our feelings - good and bad.
But really some of the comments for this match have been ridiculous.
I get the frustration but let's look at it logically.
A bad own goal from Barbet.
But we have threaded together some good passes.
Heads have not dropped.
We are really trying - as they should as professional footballers.
Without doubt we haven't got outstanding players that others have got.
But when Amos scored after a good move I jumped off my seat with joy.
Regardless of the result and the confidence of a goal just before HT let's hope we remain competitive.
Let's face it Huddersfield aren't that good.

Fully deserved. Getting zero credit from Sky but we have been much the better team since Barbet's brainfart. A bit more urgency and we can win this

We've scored twice in 45 minutes so on that bit of useless information;

“Today if anything is trying to hold you back, give no attention to it. Get your hopes up, get your faith up, look up, and get ready to rise up.”

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

Blimos O’Rilos…..

We could win this…..

If we beat Derby too….

We could make the play offs…..

And go up….

Maybe.

I remain unconvinced that Dozzell is a footballer

Harsh. Very harsh. In the right team, he will do well. I have high hopes.

He isn't even doing that badly today.

All about opinions though I guess...

Can we go out yet?

We have no money so how can we possibly compete against the might of.....oh yes, Huddersfield.

A fish rots from the head.

What the team with a bigger stadium and average crowd than us enjoying parachute payments? The one NOT paying for a new Training Ground in West London? The one that trades in West Yorkshire and not West London?

Yes, them.

Get a grip.

Can we go out yet?

Indeed. However I've seen very little that provides me with much encouragement. At this level, on this team, he seems tentative and unimaginative to me, a bit like Niko if I'm honest.

Apart from the goal, that was the best we've played for months. And the goal came from a flowing move that started in our own penalty area.

Thomas has given us more movement upfront than our three more recognised strikers do combined. It's such a pity that he never looks as though he will score!

We are the better team. Hopefully we can carry this into the second half.

Agreed. To be fair it's the usual suspects and they've all buggered off temporarily as obviously QPR playing ok ish and actually scoring a goal wasn't part of the plan and doesn't fit in with their narrative. Weirdos.

Obviously as soon as I say this we'll concede but I thought we were pretty good for most of the first half, defending was a little suspect at times but not letting them have a shot on target isn't bad!

It's 1-1 on my telly so the fish is still edible

This is a very winnable match as Huddersfield are really not playing well.
Hope we go for it this half.

Good example of your point about Thomas's movement just there, Terry.
