Had a bit of pace, bite and nastiness about him in the fleeting glimpses we got under Warburton, but no manager has really used him, either here or at Orient, so I think it's a stretch to think he'd make a significant difference. | | | |

Personally I think we should set up in a 4-4-1-1 to fill the midfield as much as possible.
GK: Begovic
RB: Adomah
CB: Kakay
CB: Field
LB: Paal
RM: Willock
CM: Dixon-Bonner
CM: Dozzell
LM: Chair
CAM: Richards
CF: Dykes
I would look to try and rotate Willock, Chair and Richards throughout the game to pull some players out of position and give Dykes as much support as possible but the theme of the day has to be crosses - early and often.
If we need to the chase the game I would take one of those three off for Armstrong and go two up. As I suspect 'chasing the game' is actually putting the drubbing we're likely to encounter mildly I suspect Kelman will also make it off the bench with the instructions to run all day like he's Forest Gump.
Also worth mentioning if Fox is available for the game I would swap him for Field and EDB would drop to the bench.
I'm even less enthusiastic for the game after putting this down on paper - it's going to be a long slog of a season isn't it... |  | | |

How can we honestly start the season with GA as manager is more my question. I honestly think we are all but assured to be around the bottom three, and yet if Mark Warburton had this squad I think we would be lower mid table. If we go down, the owners deserve it for starting the season with GA at the helm. |  |

From what I saw of rendall and gubbins, if either play we are in big trouble. Only seen a glimpse, but neither seem anywhere near the level from what I saw. Out of all the unknown cb options, woodman looked the most confident to me. But I'm just hoping either fox, jcs or/and a new signing coming in for Saturday otherwise I can see an absolute hammering. Last thing we need now is a bad start especially without our home game in the opening fixtures | | | |

I expect us to have two so called experienced CBs playing and 3 if we play 3 x CB's. The GK is the Captain, Paal will play and so will Kakay at RB/RWB if we do not get a CB. Midfield will consist of Chair, Field, Colback (If we sign him), maybe Willock or Richards. The 'Jock' will start with a Number 9 on his back. The subs will consist of more experienced players like Albert. What GA will do re systems will not be know until 2pm on Saturday afternoon and then at 3pm to the end of the match it could change many times. Its as simple as that.
