| Cricket world cup (non QPR) 09:24 - Oct 5 with 28105 views | GaryBannister86 | Can't believe it's 4 years since one of the best sporting days of my life.... Would be great to win it in India, tough ask I feel. Sad to see such a small crowd for the opener. I know the ground holds 132,000 but that is pathetic. India cricket fans can be so one-eyed sometimes. Why not turn up to see some great players on show? [Post edited 5 Oct 2023 9:24]

| Cricket world cup (non QPR) on 22:41 - Nov 6 by SydneyRs | France at the 2002 world cup say hello. Out in the groups without scoring a goal. Spain in 2014 not much better but at least did win one game. Germany similar in 2018. |
Fair point, I'd completely forgotten about France's abomination in that World Cup. Mind you if England finish this World Cup with just a solitary victory against Bangladesh (which seems possible, can you see them even beating the Netherlands currently?) then that's almost the equivalent of going out in the groups without scoring a goal I reckon.

India are miles better than anyone else, doubly so in their own conditions. Home advantage does help in these things....ahem. Only situations I can see them beat is if South Africa can win the toss and bat first, or Australia play unbelievably well.

| Cricket world cup (non QPR) on 18:18 - Nov 7 with 1804 views | Superhoops2808 | Maxwell is probably the most underrated player - He is a monster and that was an innings like you will probably never see again 203 partnership with Cummings and he scored just 12 while Maxwell spanked the rest. Not only that, he was mainly doing it with boundaries because he couldnt run adding further pressure Felt for Afghanistan, but lacked the know how for finishing off a game. Biggest plus this world cup and showed up that awful game yesterday, where once again sportsmanship went out the window | | | |

Pathetic isn't it? Malan getting run out after Stokes' call as well, so disappointing as he was the only one of them who looked comfortable with the bat.

It’s actually difficult to get your head round how bad they’ve been in this tournament. Buttler is possibly the best striker of a ball in white ball cricket we’ve ever had and Root the classiest English batsman of the last fifty years but they suddenly seem to have completely lost the ability to bat.
| Cricket world cup (non QPR) on 12:09 - Nov 8 with 1618 views | GaryBannister86 | Good old Stokesy. Imagine if he was fit. Difference between him and Kholi too... Kholi gets to nineties and then, regardless of team, goes for singles to get to his personal milestone. Stokes....reverse sweeps seamer for four to get there. Selfless. [Post edited 8 Nov 2023 12:10]

| Cricket world cup (non QPR) on 13:15 - Nov 16 with 1398 views | R_from_afar | South Africa post a total of 212 all out, with two balls to spare. Miller hit a magnificent ton after his team made a terrible start (24-4). Spin and movement through the air made batting tricky, but Australia's quick bowlers, and, surprisingly, Travis Head, did a great job. | |

Hoping for a Saffa miracle, but an Australia v India final does not fill me with joy...

Don't particularly like either side. When it was clear England were going out then my preferences were New Zealand and Pakistan. Now I'm rooting for the Aussies- they're great big match players. Now watch India win! Dew will play a big part.
