Posh crisps 21:53 - Oct 10 with 7520 viewscolinallcars

Well, they're alcohol related and we need some light relief
I'm pretty much addicted to San Nicosio and Sarriegui - they're like a drug to me. Pricey, but well worth it.
Any others ?

Sensations Sweet Chilli, can't go wrong with those.

I still pine after Phileas Fogg tortilla chips though

Yeah, I’m addicted to those Sensations Sweet Chilli. Go through an entire share bag in every sitting if I’m not careful or policed. Can’t just have a few. I lose track of time when eating them.

As we've gone slightly off-piste, two faves: Tyrrell's sour cream lentil crisps.. you won't be able to stop until you've eaten the whole packet, and Manomasa Manchego and Olive. Tasty.

When I lived in London I got addicted to sour cream flavoured crisps from the Swedish shop near Edgware Road. I don't really like flavoured crisps as I find they taste a bit chemically, but those were the dog's bòllocks.

Ready Salted? Boring as it’s not different.

“Giant” prawns is in keeping with “Monster.”

The other two show we will buy anything.

Have I won?

Yep, correct, there hasn't been a ready salted variety yet.

I remember those, I first encountered them in the bar at my university hall of residence in 1983. I seem to recall they had quite a strong flavour but quite a similar one to some of the other new fangled crisp varieties around at the time.

I hope no one on here has ever actually eaten a hedgehog!

Apparently hedgehog is very tasty. Gypsies used to cake hedgehogs in clay and slow cook them in the embers of a fire. The quills come off when you crack the clay open. It was also on the menu of our neolithic ancestors.

Protected species now of course, in case you're tempted.

I thought I could devour any packet of crisps in one sitting until I encountered a posh packet of caviar flavoured crisps. Fkin revolting, rejected by a whole houseful of guests , only my 6 year old son’s unusual palate could handle them

These are really fancy crisps:

I’ve seen them in all the trendy delicatessens around my area and only recently got around to trying them. I had the truffle flavour and they were delicious. They’re not cheap, but worth trying.

Not posh, but Brannigans Beef and Mustard.

I’ve not seen them around for a while. Sorely missed.

Mushroom flavoured crisps?
I'll give them a go if I see them, but I'm far from convinced.

Taste more like truffle oil than regular ‘mushroom’ flavour. Hard to explain, but it’s surprisingly potent!

Slabs are lovely - thick, and full of flavour.

I LOVE salt n vinegar crisps… PP may remember ‘Champs’ Salt n vinegar crisps from our school back in the day. Hands down though, the most face-twister, tongue-stinging salt n vinegar crisps are Golden Wonder… just the best.

Can you still buy brannigans Roast Beef and Mustard crisps?
In fact, sales of this product had for some time been in a downward trend. Demand from stockists had correspondingly declined. Therefore, sadly, production was no longer commercially viable and the product had to be discontinued. We have no plans in producing these again in the near future.”23 Sept 2020

Wtf is wrong with people? You can drown in prawn cocktail devil food crisps and these have had it?

The roast beef and mustard almost tasted like the real thing which is pretty rare (beef) in the crisp world.

Sausage and tomato were decent - can’t remember the manufacturer.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?
