Hmm....given the size of the average South Korean, I'm going to hazard a guess the club will have a job on its hands trying to shift 7XL and 9XL sized shirts!

There’s now no excuse to refer to him as the Korean lad, or just the Korean. It’s there in black and white, his name is 양민혁 - is that so difficult to remember?

For the record I will still keep referring to him as the Spurs lad.

Is it all becoming clear why we signed him now?

Edit: that sounded aggy when I didn’t mean it to be. I like him as a player, but not convinced he’s not blocking Kolli / Lloyd as lots have said already. Better football people than me can say if that’s worth the increase is shirt sales, which actually strikes me as quite canny and agile financially.

Those shirts are going to be worth a fortune in future years. After his retirement from a sparkling career at spurs, a QPR shirt with his name from his brief loan spell will be the envy of all English football loving Korean business men. If I was in my 20's I'd take out a bank loan and buy several hundred, they will buy my retirement beach house in 40 years time. Remember, you heard I here first.

When you reach the place beyond thoughts, the only thing you'll find is love and the only purpose of life becomes to ease the suffering of others.

Kolli is injured anyway

As for blocking them, I see the thoughts on that but in recent months, neither Lloyd or Kolli have played in his position - I mean the same finger could be pointed at Saito.... He's only on loan too (Sadly)

My cousin is a Tottenham fan, and he said that every home game, the club shop sell 1100 Tottenham replica shirts with ‘SON’ on the back.

He said that’s why they won’t sell him. Levy loves him. 😂😂

i was actually interested in getting the Koki Saito version of the shirt they put out a while ago, for my son. Think I missed that one though.

Now go and get a 2010/11 replica and get عادل تاعرابت on it. Yes I did copy and paste from his wiki

A part of me is wondering whats all this hype about exactly?

Does QPR even have a Korean fan base?

Cos seems a bit mental they're going this overboard for a loan player... bloke hasn't played a full 90 has he?

I checked the shop looks like the black away has sold out.

Korean fans follow players not clubs so we’re milking it for every penny we can get while he’s here.

I thought the party line was that we wouldn't loan players that we have no chance of signing. I think Saito is a possibility, Spurs aren't going to let us sign their lad. Obviously if we can boost revenue and cover the costs, it's slightly different but still potentially blocking pathways.

Well I for one am glad to have spent the last of this season's bond cash on one. While I'm sure that buy the time the shirt's in my possession he'll have at most two games left to play for us, I do like the look of Korean script on an Rs shirt, and by the time I visit Korea, if I ever do, he'll probably be getting regular games in the Europa League and I'll be able to enjoy parading around Incheon in it.

Now can we sign a South Indian player? Preferably one whose mother tongue is Kannada or Telugu, which I can actually read.

Every time we near the slamming shut of the TW, I approach in fear of 'Breaking News' revealing some top-top European elite club have signed you. How it's not happened already, I'll never know.

Not familiar with this 'Party Line' thing

Ronnie Edwards is another then - Also blocking the development of Liam Morrison

No chance of signing him either. Don't envisage him boosting revenue either unless we are selling Alice Bands

I don't really get this purist thing either. Why aren't we allowed to enjoy cameos of players we could never afford? Why should Sheff Utd have Brereton Dias ( 2 goals and an assist in 6 on loan) or Harry Souttar 13 clean sheets on loan but we're not allowed cos it doesn't count if they won't play for us next season.

I still remember the excitement of watching Mark Kennedy play for us when I've forgotten tons of other QPR permanent players. I bet I'll remember Yang too.

And if the owners who are regularly spunking millions on us every year defray a bit of that because some tourists from the far East buy a novelty clock in the club shop in memory of their favourite player then I don't begrudge them. Why not spread a bit of joy to folks like that very nice South Korean guy I met at Coventry who is delighted at following the Rs atm?

I personally loved the look of the ones for Saito with the Japanese script, but was unfortunately not able to get one on the day. I don't know why they are only making these shirts limited release. Hoping if we sign him permanently they'll be available again.

The club trying to extend the team's profile.

The signing session at the Westfield, Yang was one of the players present. He is only going to play for us for not much more than a dozen games, but the club know what they are doing.

So whilst he is here, last few seats in the stadium could well be filled by South Koreans in their entirety.

I have no issues with the signing.

More links between us and Spurs as their first point of call for loans and increased revenue for a short period added to having a decent player on our books, even if only for a short period of time.

Seeing Chair Saito and Yang combining together, could be a very enjoyable watch for a few months !!

Do football clubs make that much money from shirt sales though?
I remember watching a TiFo video on YouTube and it was a surprisingly small % for a PL club's income

I won't be surprised if we get Yang for another season, especially if he is doing OK with us and getting enough game-time. Not ready for Spurs 1st team yet, so we all benefit from him staying on for another full season. If he goes back to Spurs in the summer, I reckon there's a 90% chance he's off on loan somewhere else next year.
