an early SHEPHERDS (bush) v SHEEP match thread.... 18:59 - Apr 3 with 20410 viewsqpr_1968

a must must win....

i'm going for 1-0, i think thats all the goals we'll have in us, even against cardiff.
a good solid defensive display should do the job.

if i'm wrong, i'll eat my crook.

Poll: how many games this season....home/away.

What an extremely poor quality game of football that was.

Let us never speak of this again.

Every single season. Just like the last. What do we need? 1 win from 6? That sounds a pretty big ask to me after that!

I’d be fascinated* to know what you would’ve done differently.

* I would not

So you're applauding that second half, are you?

Just go to bed!

Given the number of players out, I'll take it, but it was a hard watch.

Two awful teams, but I guess at least we have a reason.

Two teams scared to death of losing.

So that's 2 points out of 24 since we thumped Derby, which seems like an aeon ago now. On the basis of that second half, you'd back Cardiff to stay up and us to sink. Apart from Smyth going forwards, it basically wasn't happening.

Lose at Oxford on Wednesday, and it'll be touch and go. They'll be massively up for it, having beat Sheffield Utd today (with a winner from Dembele's older brother), and I'm not confident.

After that and other results today though, our remaining fixtures look horrible. Oxford will presumably be bouncing after beating Sheff Utd today.

What do we reckon for Oxford on Wednesday? They have just beaten Sheff at home.

Given our complete inability to beat anyone, maybe our hopes of survival could rest on managing to grind out another three 0-0 draws, taking us to fifty points and probable safety

Meaning that, in a supreme irony, Martiball brings us back to Ainsworthball to see the season out. Perhaps he could come back in just for the run-in to get us over the line? He couldn't do any worse.

This seems to be an actual thing given we basically have no strikers.

Never knowingly right.

I'm just tired of following this club. Awful, just awful football to watch.

49 but would probably be enough. Can we just paly all our remaining games in the next two weeks and get it over with

Just In Hammersmith Park…. Two poor teams each scared to lose
and offered little going forward. My son’s first draw that he’s seen live after nearly ten games.
Haven’t read any of the match thread yet but they went down at every slightest touch and the ref bought it every time.

Bristol next week is going to be tough so we have to get something, even if a draw, at Oxford

I really think that the time has come to go for the nuclear option and put Jimmy Dunne up front so that he can win headers and hopefully our midget 10’s can pick up the knockdowns and maybe even produce a goal. I really don’t see what we’ve got to lose.
